Kenneth L. Buettner (born June 17,1950) is a judge on the Oklahoma Court of Civil Appeals.
Buettner was born on June 17,1950,in Oklahoma City,where he was raised and graduated from John Marshall High School. He went to Texas Christian University (TCU),where he graduated with a B. A. degree in 1972. He then entered Southern Methodist University (SMU) Law School and earned a J.D. degree. Later,he took additional graduate courses at the University of Denver and the University of Central Oklahoma. [1]
Buettner served in the United States Air Force Judge Advocate General (JAG) Corps from 1976 until 1980,when he was discharged from the service with the rank of captain. [2] He soon joined a major Oklahoma City law firm where he engaged in general litigation until 1996. [1]
Oklahoma Governor Frank Keating appointed Buettner to the Oklahoma Court of Civil Appeals. He was sworn in on February 26,1996. [1] Voters approved retaining him on the court in the election of 2006. [3]
In 2016,Buettner was selected to a one-year term as vice chief judge of the court. [4] He has since been selected as Chief Judge for 2018. [5]
Buettner and his wife,Barbara,have been married since 1988. They have two children and two grandchildren. [1]

On November 4,2014 voters returned him for a full term ending January 10,2021,with a favorable vote of 60.4 percent. Judge Goodman was elected chief judge of the court for a one-year term in 2016.

P. Thomas (Tom) Thornbrugh is a judge on the Oklahoma Court of Civil Appeals. He was born in Garnett,Kansas. He graduated in 1968 from Emporia State University with a B. A. in speech,then enlisted in the U.S. Army. He was trained at Fort Benning,Georgia,then went to Vietnam,where he served with the 1st ARVN Division,and the 1st Signal Brigade at Khe Sanh during the 1971 Laotion invasion. He was honored with the Bronze Star and the Army Commendation Medal with Oak Leaf Cluster for his actions at Khe Sanh. He received an honorable discharge in 1971,and returned to the United States.
