Kid Sam are a Melbourne-based duo consisting of cousins Kieran (vocals & guitar) and Kishore Ryan (drums). [1] [2] The band's first performance was in January 2006, and they started getting airplay on Triple J's "unearthed" program in 2008. [3] Their debut self-titled album was released in 2009 to positive reviews [2] and they went on their first national headline tour in 2010. [4] Kid Sam were nominated for a J Award and the Australian Music Prize. [5] Their final live performance was in August 2010 in Melbourne supporting Grizzly Bear and Here We Go Magic at the Palais Theatre in Melbourne. [6] Both cousins moved on to other projects, with Kishore drumming for bands such as Seagull, [7] Otouto [8] and Where Were You At Lunch [9] since then. Kieran Ryan spent 2011-12 recording a self-titled solo album, which was released in 2013. [10] The duo played a one-off show at their record label's party in April 2015. [11]

In October 2022, the band posted to their long-dormant Facebook page about a "12 year reunion" show alongside Carla dal Forno at the Bridge Hotel in Castlemaine, with a promise of more to come if it "goes well". [12]

Another song, "Acrobat", was on high rotation on Triple J. In October 2008 they released their debut mini album We Are. The band have toured nationally with The Presets, as well as British pop singer Lily Allen, The Fratellis, Ben Lee, Bluejuice, The Music and New Young Pony Club. In October 2009, Cassette Kids released the single Lying Around which appears on their debut album "Nothing on TV", released on 16 April 2010.

In mid 2022, the band announced an "indefinite hiatus". Although, they are working on an acoustic album of Twelve Foot Ninja material. The release date is yet to be announced.

The Bennies are an Australian ska punk band from Melbourne, Victoria. Self-described as "Psychedelic Reggae Ska Doom Metal Punk Rock From Hell," the band are known for their high-energy live shows and their mix of genres including dub, punk rock and heavy metal. To date, the band have released four studio albums and two EPs.

Toni Watson, known professionally as Tones and I, is an Australian singer, songwriter, and record producer. She is best known for her breakout single "Dance Monkey", which reached number one in over 30 countries including her own native Australia. Northeast Party House is an Australian electronic band formed in Melbourne in 2009. The band's six members are Jack Shoe (guitar), Malcolm Besley (drums), Sean Kenihan (synth), Zach Hamilton-Reeves (vocals), Mitch Ansell (guitar) and Oliver Packard (bass).
