Sabah is a state of Malaysia located on the northern portion of Borneo, in the region of East Malaysia. Sabah has land borders with the Malaysian state of Sarawak to the southwest and Indonesia's North Kalimantan province to the south. The Federal Territory of Labuan is an island just off Sabah's west coast. Sabah shares maritime borders with Vietnam to the west and the Philippines to the north and east. Kota Kinabalu is the state capital and the economic centre of the state, and the seat of the Sabah State government. Other major towns in Sabah include Sandakan and Tawau. The highest point of Sabah, Mount Kinabalu is also the highest point of Malaysia.
Last.fm Limited is a music website founded in the United Kingdom in 2002. Using a music recommender system called "Audioscrobbler", Last.fm builds a detailed profile of each user's musical taste by recording details of the tracks the user listens to, either from Internet radio stations, or the user's computer or portable music devices. This information is transferred ("scrobbled") to Last.fm's database either via the music player or via a plug-in installed into the user's music player. The data is then displayed on the user's profile page and compiled to create reference pages for individual artists.

Hitz is a Malaysian national radio station managed by Astro Radio, a subsidiary of Astro Malaysia Holdings Berhad. The radio station name was changed from Hitz.FM to Hitz FM in 2014. In 2015, as according to Nielsen RAM Survey Wave #1, Hitz FM maintained its position as Malaysia's leading English-language station with over 1.2 million listeners. Hitz FM has a weekly audience of more than 2.2M listeners on radio. It targets listeners between the age of 10 to 29, according to Astro Radio. The radio station's slogan is "Malaysia's #1 Hit Music Station."
Sarawak FM is a Malay language radio station operated by Radio Televisyen Malaysia serving as the main radio station of the state of Sarawak. It was launched on 8 June 1954 and became part of the Radio Malaysia network on 16 September 1963, when Sarawak formed the Federation of Malaysia with Malaya, Sabah and Singapore. The station covers the whole of Sarawak with a 24 hours broadcast which airs Malaysian and international music.

In 2015, as according to Nielsen RAM Survey Wave #1, My FM maintained its position as Malaysia's leading Chinese-language station with over 2.0 million listeners, it was challenged by 988 which is currently the leading Chinese radio station there.

Kool 101 is a Malaysian private radio station owned by Media Prima Berhad through its radio subsidiary, Media Prima Audio, which broadcasts in the Malay language. It was launched on 1 March 2016. It is the fourth radio station from Media Prima Audio after Eight FM, Fly FM, Hot FM and before Molek FM. The radio station is based on the acquisition of Laureate Sdn. Bhd. in October 2015, which owns Ultra FM and Pi Mai FM. Kool 101 is the first Media Prima radio station to remove the "FM" suffix from its brand name.
