Lawndale High School is one of three high schools in Lawndale, California, United States. The school was closed in 1981, and reopened in 1998. [2] It is one of three schools in the Centinela Valley Union High School District.
In 2009, Lawndale High was awarded the California Distinguished Award. The principal was then Vicente Bravo. During this time period, Lawndale was also awarded the US News Silver Medal for similar high schools throughout the nation. It was also a Title 1 Achievement school.
Lawndale High had an enrollment of 2,364 as of the 2013–14 school year. [3]

Jack Thomas Snow Jr. is an American former professional baseball player and television sports color commentator. He played as a first baseman in Major League Baseball from 1992 to 2006, most notably as a member of the San Francisco Giants. Snow excelled as a defensive player, winning six consecutive Gold Glove Awards as a first baseman between 1995 and 2000. After his playing career, Snow worked in radio and television broadcasting. He has also worked as a special assistant to the General Manager for the Giants.

St. John Bosco High School (SJBHS) is a Catholic, all-boys college preparatory high school located in Bellflower, California, and conducted by the San Francisco Province of the Salesians of St. John Bosco. St. John Bosco High School is named after Saint John Bosco, an Italian saint known for his dedication to educating and advocating for youth and for his "Home-School-Church-Playground" model of education. Bosco was founded as an elementary and intermediate boarding school in 1940. The first high school class graduated in 1956, and in 1979 the boarding school closed.

He was drafted by the New York Giants in the third round of the 2010 NFL Draft, and the Cincinnati Reds in the ninth round of the 2013 MLB draft. He played college football and college baseball at Louisiana State University.

Donald Joseph Ecker is an American professional baseball coach. He is the bench coach and offensive coordinator for the Texas Rangers of Major League Baseball (MLB). He played college baseball for California State University, Long Beach and Lewis–Clark State College. The Texas Rangers selected Ecker in the 22nd round of the 2007 MLB draft. He has coached in MLB for the Cincinnati Reds and the San Francisco Giants.
Tuli Tuipulotu is an American football outside linebacker for the Los Angeles Chargers of the National Football League (NFL). He was named the Pat Tillman Defensive Player of the Year and a unanimous All-American in 2022. He played college football at USC.
