Akhil Bharatiya Marathi Sahitya Sammelan is an annual conference for literary discussions by Marathi writers. Marathi is the official language of Maharashtra State. The first Marathi Sahitya Sammelan was held in Pune in 1878 under the chairmanship of Justice Mahadev Govind Ranade.
Siddharth Jadhav is an Indian actor, entertainer and comedian widely known for his work in several Hindi and Marathi films and stage productions. He has received several awards including a Filmfare Award Marathi.
Dnyanesh Maharao is a writer and editor of renowned Marathi weekly magazine Chitralekha. He is in active journalist since 1 June 1989. Earlier he was Assistant Editor of Marathi weekly magazine Vivek, from 1 April 1985 to 31 May 1989. He has written more than 20 books in Marathi as well as in English. Indira Dangi is a Hindi novelist, playwright and short story writer She has published one novel, one theatrical play and two books of short stories. Her works are widely acclaimed and acknowledged. She is a recipient of the Yuva Puraskar and Jnanpith Navlekhan Anushansa Award.
Vinda Jeevan Gaurav Puraskar is a lifetime achievement award conferred annually by the Department of Marathi Language, Government of Maharashtra.It is given to a writer who has made a lasting and valuable contribution to Marathi literature.originally consisted of a citation and a cash award of Rupees Five Lakh. It is named in honour of Marathi poet Govind Vinayak Karandikar.
Anant Yashwant Khare was an Indian writer and a civil engineer. He wrote on scientific, sociological and economic subjects in the Marathi language. He published around twenty-five books, including a novel titled Udya, published in 2014 which is recognised one of the prominent writings in Marathi literature.
Bhanwar Singh Samaur is an Indian writer, poet, historian, and social worker from Rajasthan. Samaur is the recipient of the Sahitya Akademi Award 2020 for his work Sanskriti ri Sanatana Deeth. His career has spanned more than 50 years including works on history, literature, and poetry in Rajasthani as well as Hindi. Dr. Samaur is a retired Hindi Lecturer from Lohia Postgraduate College, Churu.
Namdeo Chandrabhan Kamble is an Indian Marathi-language writer, social worker, journalist and teacher. He was awarded the Sahitya Akademi Award in 1995 for his novel Raghav Vel. He was awarded Padma Shri in the field of literature and education in 2021.
Anuradha Patil is an Indian poet, writing in the Marathi language. In 2019, she won the Sahitya Akademi Award, India's highest literary honor, for her collection of poetry Kadachit Ajoonahi.
Suryamal Mishran Shikhar Award is a literary honour granted by the Rajasthani Bhasha Sahitya and Sanskriti Akademi for special contribution to Rajasthani literature. It was established in the memory of the 19th century poet-historian Suryamal Misran.
