Mahendra Bir Bikram Shah Dev, was the ninth King of Nepal from 13 March 1955 until his death in 1972, which was due to a heart attack, as told in an interview by his personal physician Dr. Mrigendra Raj Pandey. Following the 1960 coup d'état, he established the partyless Panchayat system, which governed the country for 28 years until the introduction of multi-party democracy in 1990. Gajuri(Nepali: गजुरी ; gajuri) is a Gaupalika in Dhading District in the Bagmati Zone of central Nepal. It has a literacy rate of 64.28%. The city hosts as one of the city with highest literacy rate in the Dhading district. The local body was formed by merging three VDCs namely Gajuri, Pida, Nepal, Kiranchok.

Mirchaiya formerly known as Ramnagar Mirchaiya is a municipality in Siraha District in the Madhesh Province of south-eastern Nepal. The municipality was established on 18 May 2014 by merging the existing Rampur Birta, Malhaniyakhori, Radhopur, Ramnagar Mirchaiya, Phulbariya, Sitapur PraDa and Maheshpur Gamharia Village Development Committees. At the time of the 2017 municipality records, it had a population of approx. 52,000 people living in approx 8,496 individual households. This is one of the main business markets for Katari and the southern part of the Siraha district. Raw material produced here includes padday, miazem, and sugar cane.

The Nepal Rastra Bank was established on April 26, 1956 A.D. under the Nepal Rastra Bank Act, 1955, to discharge the central banking responsibilities including guiding the development of the embryonic domestic financial sector. The NRB is functioning under the new Nepal Rastra Bank Act, 2002. The functions of NRB are to formulate required monetary and foreign exchange policies so as to maintain the stability in market prices, to issue currency notes, to regulate and supervise the banking and financial sector, to develop efficient payment and banking systems among others. The NRB is also the economic advisor to the government of Nepal. As the central bank of Nepal, it is the monetary, supervisory and regulatory body of all the commercial banks. development banks, finance companies and micro-finances institutions.

Laxmi Bank is the 16th commercial bank in Nepal, founded in 2002.

He previously served as the governor of the Nepal Rastra Bank, as well as the vice-chair of the National Planning Commission.

Purna Bikram Shah professionally known as Paul Shah, is a Nepali film actor and model known for his work in the Nepali film industry. Starting off behind the scenes as an video editor, Shah got his film breakthrough from Nai Nabhannu La 4. Since then, Shah has made an appearance in the romantic drama Ma Yesto Geet Gauchu, action film Johnny Gentleman produced by Bikram Basnet, directed by Nitin Chand, and family drama Shatru Gate. He later worked in a social drama Bir Birkam 2, part of the Bir Bikram series and Ma Yesto Geet Gauchhu 2.

Rajiv Gurung, known by his alias Deepak Manange, is a Nepali gangster and politician, who was elected to Gandaki Provincial Assembly in the 2017 elections from Manang (B) constituency as an independent candidate. He became the minister of sports in the provincial government in April 2021.

The Communist Party of Nepal (Unified Socialist) (Nepali: नेपाल कम्युनिष्ट पार्टी (एकीकृत-समाजवादी), romanized: Nēpāla kamyuniṣṭa pārṭī (Ēkīkr̥ta-Samājavādī)), abbreviated as CPN (Unified Socialist) is a political party in Nepal led by former Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal. As of July 2023, the party leads Socialist Front and is an important ally in the governing coalition.

Prakash Jwala is a Nepali politician currently serving as minister of physical infrastructure and transport of Government of Nepal. He also served in the House of Representatives from 1999 until 2008 and in the Karnali Provincial Assembly from 2018 until his expulsion in April 2021, representing the Salyan 1 constituency as a member of the Communist Party of Nepal. After his expulsion, Jwala joined the newly-formed Communist Party of Nepal, and is running as one of its candidates for the House of Representatives in the 2022 Nepalese general election.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Rastriya Swatantra Party</span> Political party in Nepal

The Rastriya Swatantra Party is the fourth largest political party in Nepal. It remained as a junior ally in Prachanda-led government from 26 December 2022 until 5 February 2023. While it called back its members from the current coalition government arrangement, it continues its support to the government since 5 February 2023.

The second Bagmati Provincial Assembly was elected by the 2022 provincial elections on 20 November 2022. 110 members were elected to the assembly, 66 of whom were elected through direct elections and 44 of whom were elected through the party list proportional representation system. The first session on the assembly commenced from 2 January 2023.

Durga Prasai Is a Nepalese right wing political activist, medical entrepreneur and loan defaulter. He was charged for loan default worth NPR 5.57 billion lend by 9 different commercial banks of nepal to establish the medical college B&C Hospital in Jhapa.
