List of honorary citizens of Beijing

Honorary citizen of Beijing is an honorary title awarded to foreigners, overseas Chinese and Hong Kong and Macau compatriots who have made outstanding contributions to Beijing's foreign cooperation, economic construction and social development. [1] The honorary citizen's certificate and badge will be issued by the Beijing Municipal Government.

For foreigners, overseas Chinese, Hong Kong and Macau compatriots who have been awarded the honorary citizenship of Beijing, all relevant institutions in Beijing shall provide assistance in their working and living in Beijing. They will be invited to participate in major celebrations organized by Beijing and enjoy VIP privileges.

Yan Ni, born Yan Kaiyan, is a Chinese film and television actress. She works for the Television Art center of the People's Liberation Army Air Force. Li ranked 54th on Forbes China Celebrity 100 list in 2015.

Janine Chang Taiwanese actress

Janine Chang Chun-ning is a Taiwanese actress. Chang attended National Taipei University and obtained a bachelor's degree in law. In June 2010, Chang graduated from the Institute of Industrial Economics at National Central University with a master's degree.

Liu Shishi Chinese actress (born 1987)

Liu Shishi, also known as Cecilia Liu, is a Chinese actress best known for portraying Long Kui in the television series Chinese Paladin 3 and Ruoxi in the Chinese time-travel drama Scarlet Heart and Imperial Doctress. She is also known as one of the New Four Dan Actresses.

Deng Wei Hon FRPS was a Chinese portrait photographer who was a professor at Tsinghua University, China. He was known for his photographic projects such as the Chinese Cultural Celebrity Portrait project, and the World Celebrities project.

Ni Ni is a Chinese actress best known for portraying Yu Mo in the 2011 film The Flowers of War, directed by Zhang Yimou; and Ling Xi in the 2019 television series Love and Destiny. She is considered to be one of the “New Four Dan Actresses” by Southern Metropolis Daily.

Zhong Nanshan Chinese pulmonologist

Zhong Nanshan is a Chinese pulmonologist. He was president of the Chinese Medical Association from 2005 to 2009 and is currently the editor-in-chief of the Journal of Thoracic Disease. He is a recipient of Medal of the Republic, the highest honour of China.

Yang Zi (actress) Chinese actress

Yang Zi also known as Andy Yang, is a Chinese actress and singer. She graduated from the Performence Institute of Beijing Film Academy (BFA) in 2014. In 2016, Yang was chosen by Southern Metropolis Daily as one of the Four Dan Actresses of the post-90s Generation (90后四小花旦).

Medal of the Republic (China)

The Medal of the Republic is one of the People's Republic of China's two highest decorations for Chinese nationals. On December 27, 2015, the National People's Congress Standing Committee passed a law establishing three national orders of merit: the Republic Medal, National Honorary Titles – for contributions in specific fields and industries – and the international Friendship Medal, constituted on January 1, 2016.

Isabel Crook Canadian anthropologist and educator

Isabel Crook is a Chinese-born Canadian anthropologist and former professor at Beijing Foreign Studies University. She is notable for her participation in the Cultural Revolution, as well as her work as a teacher and researcher.
