This is a list of provincial ministers of Zambia as of September 2021. All are members of the United Party for National Development. All ministers are elected members of Parliament except one who is a nominated minister by the President of the Republic of Zambia. [1]
The politics of Zambia takes place in a framework of a presidential representative democratic republic, whereby the president of Zambia is head of state, head of government and leader of a multi-party system. Executive power is exercised by the government, while legislative power is vested in both the government and parliament. Formerly Northern Rhodesia, Zambia became a republic immediately upon attaining independence in October 1964.
A member of parliament (MP) is the representative in parliament of the people who elect them. MPs may represent an electoral district (constituency) or be selected from an electoral list. In many countries with bicameral parliaments, this term refers only to lower house and upper house members. The terms congressman and congresswoman are equivalent terms used in other jurisdictions. The term parliamentarian is always used for members of parliament, but this is always used to refer to elected government leaders such as senator in the United States. The term is also used to the characteristic of performing the duties of a member of a legislature, for example: "The two party leaders often disagreed on issues, but both were excellent parliamentarians and cooperated to get many good things done."
Matabeleland South is a province in southwestern Zimbabwe. With a population of 683,893 as of the 2012 Zimbabwean census, it is the country's least populous province. After Matabeleland North, it is Zimbabwe's second-least densely populated province. Matabeleland South was established in 1974, when the original Matabeleland Province was divided into two provinces, the other being Matabeleland North. The province is divided into six districts. Gwanda is the capital, and Beitbridge is the province's largest town. The name "Matabeleland" is derived from Ndebele, the province's largest ethnic group.
Zambia is divided into 10 provinces for administrative purposes. Each province is headed by a minister appointed by the President and there are ministries of central government for each province. The administrative head of each province is the Permanent Secretary, appointed by the President. There are Deputy Permanent Secretary, heads of government departments and civil servants at the provincial level.
The prime minister of Zambia was the head of government of Zambia. From 1973 to 1975, Mainza Chona was the first person to hold the position following independence from the United Kingdom.
Senate of Pakistan or Aiwān-e-Bālā Pākistān, is the upper legislative chamber of the bicameral legislature of Pakistan, and together with the National Assembly makes up the Parliament of Pakistan.
The Parliament of Pakistan is the federal and supreme legislative body of Pakistan. It is a bicameral federal legislature that consists of the Senate as the upper house and the National Assembly as the lower house. According to the constitution of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, the President of Pakistan is also a component of the Parliament. The National Assembly is elected for a five-year term on the basis of adult franchise and one-man one-vote. The tenure of a Member of the National Assembly is for the duration of the house, or sooner, in case the Member dies or resigns. The tenure of the National Assembly also comes to an end if dissolved on the advice of the Prime Minister or by the president in his discretion under the Constitution.
The Republic of South Africa is a parliamentary republic with three-tier system of government and an independent judiciary, operating in a parliamentary system. Legislative authority is held by the Parliament of South Africa.
The National Parliament of Papua New Guinea is the unicameral national legislature in Papua New Guinea. It was created in 1964 as the House of Assembly of Papua and New Guinea but gained its current name after the nation was granted independence in 1975.
Catherine Namugala a Zambian politician. She is the First Deputy Speaker of the Zambian Parliament. She was nominated to that position by President Edgar Lungu, on 18 September 2016. She is the former Minister of Tourism, Environment and Natural Resources in the Zambian Cabinet. She also served as the Member of Parliament (MP), representing Mafinga Constituency in the Zambian Parliament, from 2001 until 2016.
Muchinga Province is one of the ten provinces of Zambia. It is located in the northeast of the country and borders with Tanzania in the north, Malawi in the east, Eastern Province in the south, Central Province in the southwest, Luapula Province in the west, and Northern Province in the northwest. The administrative center of the province is Chinsali.
Edgar Chagwa Lungu is a Zambian politician who served as the sixth president of Zambia from 25 January 2015 to 24 August 2021. Under President Michael Sata, Lungu served as Minister of Justice and Minister of Defence. Following Sata's death in October 2014, Lungu was adopted as the candidate of the ruling Patriotic Front in a Convention of the Patriotic Front in Kabwe, for the January 2015 presidential by-election, which was to determine who would serve out the remainder of Sata's term. In the election, he narrowly defeated opposition candidate Hakainde Hichilema and took office on 25 January 2015.

Felix Chipota Mutati is a Zambian politician representing the Movement for Multi-Party Democracy party. Mutati did not run for a Member of Parliament seat and received a nominated seat by the president. As a nominated Member of Parliament, he was appointed Minister of Technology and Science on 17 September 2021 by the ruling Zambian President Hakainde Hichilema.
Daniel Munkombwe was a Zambian politician. He worked as a political organizer and administrator for the ANC in Northern Rhodesia before and after independence. He was elected to Parliament in 1973 and served for 19 years. In 2001, he was appointed Minister for the Southern Province by Levy Mwanawasa and continued in that and other government posts until 2015, having been subsequently appointed by Rupiah Banda and Michael Sata.
Obedingwa Mguni was a Zimbabwean politician who was a member of parliament representing the Mangwe Constituency from 2013 to 2019.
Joseph Malanji is a Zambian politician and business executive currently serving as a member of the National Assembly. He was Minister of Foreign Affairs between 2018 and 2021.
W.K.Mutale Nalumango is an educator and politician who is the 14th and current vice president of Zambia, the second woman to hold the position. She previously served as vice-president of the Secondary Schools’ Teachers Union of Zambia before resigning to begin her political career in 2001. She first became a member of the National Assembly in 2001 as a member of the Movement for Multiparty Democracy, representing the Kaputa Constituency. She later served as deputy minister of information and deputy speaker in parliament, the first woman to hold that position.
Sheal S. Mulyata is a member of the National Assembly of Zambia.
Bowman Lusambo is a Zambian politician, a member of the Patriotic Front. He was appointed as the Provincial Minister for Lusaka Province and Provincial Minister for Copperbelt Province. He has also served as the Member of Parliament for Kabushi in 2016 and 2021.
