Bisclavret Marie de France Bisclavret A noble baron who periodically transforms into a wolf becomes trapped in wolf-form when his wife steals his clothes, which he requires to become human again. He is able to gain the favour of the king and loyally remains by his side. When his wife and her new husband appear at the king's court he attacks them, the king concludes they must have wronged the wolf and has them arrested, after the wife confesses and returns the Baron's clothes, he is able to become human again.

A similar story features in Arthurian legend.

Will Blake R.L. Stine Goosebumps William "Will" Blake is the main antagonist of the Goosebumps book The Werewolf of Fever Swamp. Will Blake was a 12-year-old boy living in Fever Swamp who, at some point prior to the events of the book, became cursed with lycanthropy. While in the form of a werewolf, Will terrorized Fever Swamp, preying on local animals.
Draugluin J. R. R. Tolkien Legendarium Bred from the wolves and inhabited with an evil spirit sent by Morgoth himself, Draugluin was the sire of all werewolves of Beleriand, including Carcharoth, and lived with his master Sauron in Tol-in-Gaurhoth, the former watchtower of Finrod Felagund.

David Kessler An American Werewolf in London While backpacking on the Yorkshire Moors, American college students David Kessler and Jack Goodman are attacked by a werewolf. Jack dies, but David survives and is cursed. Despite warnings from the decomposing spirit of Jack Goodman, David refuses to commit suicide, and as a result prowls the city of London (two nights in a row).
Wolfman Legendary Giant Beast Wolfman vs. Godzilla The Wolfman (狼男 Ōkami Otoko) is a werewolf Kaiju who first appeared in Shizuo Nakajima's 1972 Godzilla fan short, Wolfman vs. Baragon, and is set to appear in the upcoming fan film, Wolfman vs. Godzilla (伝説の巨獣狼男対ゴジラ Densetsu no Kyojū Ōkami Otoko tai Gojira, lit. Legendary Beast Wolfman vs. Godzilla) in 1983. Initially, the film was dropped and was not released in theaters. The Wolfman fought Godzilla in some shots during filming.

Hope Andrea Mikaelson is the tribrid daughter of Klaus Mikaelson and Hayley Marshall-Kenner. She is a hybrid of three different supernatural creatures: witch, werewolf, and vampire. She is portrayed by Alexandria and Victoria Collins as an infant in "Rebirth", unnamed toddlers in seasons 2 and 3 of The Originals, by Summer Fontana as a child, and by Danielle Rose Russell as a teenager.

Ty Parsec Buzz Lightyear of Star Command A Space Ranger who frequently gets irritated by Buzz's antics and is seen as a close friend to the series' protagonist. He acts as a secondary character for the series, having only appeared majorly in two episodes, and starring as an easter egg in one other episode in his lycanthropic form. Ty changes into a lycan-like robotic creature called a Wirewolf after getting bitten by a robotic energy vampire, known as NOS-4-A2— a play-on-words of the character Count Orlok from Nosferatu. Ty changes into his lycan form after being exposed to the radioactive green moon of Canis Lunis. The Wirewolf preys on other robotic organisms but has been known to attack organic lifeforms if threatened. It is only after the moon is destroyed in an explosion, and the remaining pieces are zapped away by a laser, is he "cured" of his curse. It is unknown whether or not he still has the ability to change back into the Wirewolf, as it is never fully explained.
Professor Nimnul, Ralph Chip 'n Dale: Rescue Rangers In the episode "A Wolf in Cheap Clothing" The rescue rangers discover that a werewolf is responsible for a series of robberies. Initially they believe it is Ralph, a wolf from the local zoo. However they discover it was actually Professor Norton Nimnul using a device to swap bodies with animals.

Yugo the Wolf Bloody Roar seriesThe main protagonist and young Japanese wolf zoanthrope who was fighting to uncover the circumstances of his mercenary father's death, brought upon from fighting in a South American country. He raided the Tylon corporation along with his father's friend, the French lion zoanthrope and fellow mercenary named Alan Gado. After the events of the first game, Yugo goes into hiding and makes a career as a champion boxer, while also taking under his wing a teenage boy by the name of Kenji. Kenji (later known as Bakuryu the Mole) was kidnapped by the Zoanthrope Liberation Front and Yugo sets out to rescue him. After the successful rescue, Gado also convinces him to lead the fight for equality between humans and zoanthropes alike.
The Companions, Sinding The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim The Companions are an ancient group of warriors based in the mead hall Jorrvaskr within the city of Whiterun, the senior members of the Companions known as "The Circle" which includes Kodlak, Skjor, Aela, Farkas and Vilkas have the ability to transform into werewolves.

Sinding is a Nord first encountered in Falkreath jail in the quest "Ill Met by Moonlight" who is revealed to be a werewolf who was cursed by the Daedric prince Hircine for stealing a ring.

Various characters with lycanthropy can be encountered throughout the game and the player has the ability to become a werewolf.

Cornell Castlevania: Legacy of Darkness A member of a warrior clan cursed to transform into beast-men. He has the ability to control his change as a werewolf as well as the only one of his brethren to refuse to join the forces of Dracula. His rival Ortega also transforms into a werewolf. Cornell reappears in Castlevania Judgment .
Banehallow Defense of the Ancients (DotA)He is one of the playable hero characters who is commonly referred to in-game as Lycan. He reappears in the following sequel Dota 2 .
Worgen World of Warcraft In this game, Worgen are the werewolf-like monsters the player can fight in the Shadowfang Keep dungeon. Also World of Warcraft: Cataclysm , Worgen are playable race, being able to switch from human and werewolf forms.
T'inque Arcana Star Ocean: First Departure An 18-year-old Lycanthrope who transforms into a dark blue werewolf at the beginning of every battle. He changes whenever he gets excited.
Sonic the Werehog Sonic Unleashed In this multi-platform game, Sonic the Hedgehog unwillingly gains a new persona based on the werewolf, known as the "Werehog". His speed ability slows down, but in return, he gains incredible strength similar to that of Knuckles the Echidna and the ability to stretch his arms, a possible throwback to one of Sega's previous games Ristar . There is also the CGI-animated short film that ties in with the game, entitled Sonic: Night of the Werehog. [6]
Warwick League of Legends During his past life as a human, Warwick was a Zaunite gangster who decided to retire from crime and live a better life as a good and honest man. He was eventually captured and experimented on by the mad scientist Singed, who pumped him full of chemicals containing spliced monster DNA in an attempt to transform him into the "beast" he was deep down inside. Although Singed's experiments initially killed Warwick, they later resurrected him as a lycan with an insatiable thirst for blood.
Valkhayn R. Hellsing BlazBlue: Continuum Shift II One of the Six Heroes, he is a werewolf butler whose astral heat shows his full werewolf form, and his attacks showcase a large wolf beast form.
Vincent Meis The Witcher The head of the city guard who reveals himself to be a werewolf when Geralt investigated a werewolf that was killing criminals in the city.
Wolf Princess The Liar Princess and the Blind Prince She is a large wolf monster who transforms into a human princess in exchange for her singing voice to the witch so that she can save the prince after accidentally blinding him.
Lycans Resident Evil Village They are a semi-intelligent mutant human species who are noted for canine-like characteristics. They were innocent once people of the village who worshiped Mother Miranda as their god, by granting them with a parasite called Cadou, which was created by the mold from the Megamycete. From 1919 to 2021 they had carved out their territory in an isolated mountain village, where they preyed upon other humans. Lycan possess more intelligence than most of the other monsters such as the moroaicâ in the game as shown by their use of bow and arrows and riding horses. Lycan are believed extinct following the region's destruction by the Fungal Root.
Silas, Chris Hackett, Caleb Hackett, Kaylee Hackett and determinantly some of the player characters if infected. The Quarry They are large humanoids (like other creatures in the Supermassive games titles) brown in color and with red eyes born from a curse. They possess great strength and bite other people causing a speed infection that will convert them. They live in Hackett's Quarry summer camp. Silas was the first victim seen in the game, though how he got the curse is unknown. This would infect Chris Hackett and his children Caleb and Kaylee, who would transform every night of the full moon. To break the curse, the other members of the family would try to cure them by killing Silas. Chris would later bite Max Brinly. The protagonists of the story can also be infected, but some manage to save themselves (Bobby destroying his finger if Nick bites him and Dylan when Ryan cuts off his hand.
Werewolf Cookie Cookie Run Werewolf Cookie was created while adding great amount of pepper into his dough, a wolf hair had fallen in by accident. Everytime his wolf instinct kicks in, he is able to transform into a feral beast. Being able to destroy obstacles in the process.

Underworld is a 2003 action horror film directed by Len Wiseman in his feature film directorial debut, from a screenplay by Danny McBride, based on a story by Kevin Grevioux, Wiseman, and McBride. The film stars Kate Beckinsale, Scott Speedman, Michael Sheen, Shane Brolly, and Bill Nighy. The plot centers on the secret history of vampires and lycans. The main plot revolves around Selene (Beckinsale), a vampire Death Dealer hunting Lycans. She finds herself attracted to a human, Michael Corvin (Speedman), who is being targeted by the Lycans. After Michael is bitten by a Lycan, Selene must decide whether to do her duty and kill him or go against her clan and save him.

Clinical lycanthropy is a rare psychiatric syndrome that involves a delusion that the affected person can transform into, has transformed into, or is, a non-human animal. Its name is associated with the mythical condition of lycanthropy, a supernatural affliction in which humans are said to physically shapeshift into wolves.

Werewolf: The Forsaken is a tabletop role-playing game set in the Chronicles of Darkness created by White Wolf Game Studio. It is the successor to Werewolf: The Apocalypse, the "game of savage horror" from the old World of Darkness line of games, but has moved to a more personal sort of horror, reflecting the "dark mystery" theme of the Chronicles of Darkness.

Teen Wolf, known as The Cartoon Adventures of Teen Wolf in the United Kingdom, is an animated television series broadcast from 1986 to 1987, that was produced by Southern Star / Hanna-Barbera Australia in association with Clubhouse Pictures in the first season and Atlantic/Kushner-Locke in the second season. It was based on the live action film Teen Wolf (1985), and the second installment overall in the titular franchise.

The wolf is a common motif in the foundational mythologies and cosmologies of peoples throughout Eurasia and North America, and also plays a role in ancient European cultures. The modern trope of the Big Bad Wolf arises from European folklore. The wolf holds great importance in the cultures and religions of many nomadic peoples, such as those of the Eurasian steppe and North American Plains.

"Shapes" is the nineteenth episode of the first season of the American science fiction television series The X-Files, premiering on the Fox network on April 1, 1994. It was written by Marilyn Osborn and directed by David Nutter. It featured guest appearances by Michael Horse, Ty Miller and Donnelly Rhodes. The episode is a "Monster-of-the-Week" story, a stand-alone plot which is unconnected to the series' wider mythology. "Shapes" earned a Nielsen household rating of 7.6, being watched by 7.2 million households in its initial broadcast; and received mixed reviews, with varied reaction to the episode's handling of the werewolf genre and of its Native American themes.

Underworld is an American action horror film series created by Kevin Grevioux, Len Wiseman, and Danny McBride. It follows characters who are caught up in a war between vampires and werewolves. Most of the films star Kate Beckinsale as Selene. The first film, Underworld (2003), introduces Selene, an elite vampire-warrior who defies her orders, and Michael Corvin, a human who gets caught up in the war. The second film, Underworld: Evolution (2006), follows Selene and Michael as they are hunted by their enemies. The third film, Underworld: Rise of the Lycans (2009), is the prequel to the series, chronicling the origins of the vampire-lycan war. The fourth film, Underworld: Awakening (2012), is the sequel to Underworld: Evolution. In this film, humans have discovered the existence of vampires and lycans, and are trying to eradicate both species. A fifth film, titled Underworld: Blood Wars (2016), focuses on Selene who tries to stop a new war between vampires and lycans.

In mythology and literature, a werewoman or were-woman is a woman who has taken the form of an animal through a process of lycanthropy. The use of the word "were" refers to the ability to shape-shift but is, taken literally, a contradiction in terms since in Old English the word "wer" means man. This would mean it literally translates to "man-woman".

The legendary werewolves of Ossory, a kingdom of early medieval Ireland, are the subject of a number of accounts in medieval Irish, English and Norse works. The werewolves were said to have been the descendants of a legendary figure named Laignech Fáelad whose line gave rise to the kings of Ossory. The legends may have derived from the activities of warriors in ancient Ireland who were the subject of frequent literary comparisons to wolves, and who may have adopted lupine hairstyles or worn wolf-skins while they "went wolfing" and carried out raids.
