The Longwood Lancers baseball team represents Longwood University, which is located in Farmville, Virginia. The Lancers are an NCAA Division I college baseball program that competes in the Big South Conference. They began competing in Division I in 2005 and joined the Big South Conference in 2013 after 8 seasons as an independent.

The Longwood Lancers play all home games on campus at Buddy Bolding Stadium. The Lancers have played in 4 Big South Tournaments, reaching the semifinals in 2016 where they would lose to eventual Big South Conference and national champion Coastal Carolina.

Since the program's inception in 1978, one Lancer have gone on to play in Major League Baseball, outfielder Michael Tucker. Ten Lancers have been drafted, including Michael Tucker who was selected tenth overall in the 1992 Major League Baseball draft.

Buddy Bolding Stadium is a baseball stadium on the Longwood University campus in Farmville, Virginia that seats approximately 500 people. It was opened on March 12, 1994 with an 8–3 win over Davis & Elkins (WV). [2]

The Longwood Lancers men's basketball team is the Division I basketball team that represents Longwood University in Farmville, Virginia. Since 2012, the team has competed in the Big South Conference of the National Collegiate Athletic Association. Their current head coach is Griff Aldrich, a one-time lawyer and chief financial officer of a private equity firm who formerly served as the recruiting director for UMBC. Charles "Buddy" Bolding Stadium is a baseball venue in Farmville, Virginia, United States. It is home to the Longwood Lancers baseball team, a member of the Big South Conference. It is named for Buddy Bolding, who was the first head coach of the Lancers' baseball team, who served for 35 seasons from 1978 until his retirement after the 2013 season.

Megan Baltzell is an American, former collegiate All-American softball catcher. She played her college career for the Longwood Lancers from 2012 to 2015 and set various school records. She is the Big South Conference career leader in slugging percentage and walks in only three seasons. She was a member of the 2016 Women's National Baseball Team and currently plays slow pitch with the women's national Team Easton. She is also one of nine NCAA Division I players to hit a career .400 with at least 200 RBIs, 50 home runs and an .800% slugging percentage for her career.

They were led by head coach Griff Aldrich, in his first season, and played their home games at Willett Hall in Farmville, Virginia as members of the Big South Conference. They finished the season 16–18, 5–11 in Big South play to finish in ninth place. They lost in the first round of the Big South tournament to Hampton. They were invited to the College Basketball Invitational, their first ever Division I postseason tournament, where they defeated Southern Miss in the first round before losing in the quarterfinals to DePaul.

They finished the season 12-17, 10-10 to finish in 5th place. They defeated UNC Asheville in the quarterfinals of the Big South tournament before losing in the semifinals to Winthrop. They received an invitation to the CBI where they lost in the quarterfinals to Pepperdine.

The 2021–22 Longwood Lancers men's basketball team represented Longwood University in the 2021–22 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Lancers, led by fourth-year head coach Griff Aldrich, played their home games at Willett Hall in Farmville, Virginia as members of the Big South Conference. With the reintroduction of divisions for the first time since the 2013–14 season, the Lancers played in the North division. They finished the regular season 26–6, 15–1 in Big South play to win the Big South regular season championship. They defeated North Carolina A&T, USC Upstate, and Winthrop to win the Big South tournament championship. As a result, the Lancers received the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA tournament, the school's first-ever trip to the tournament, as the No. 14 seed in the South Region, where they lost in the first round to Tennessee.
