Luz del Carmen Zasso Paoa (born 16 May 1972) is a Chilean engineer and politician of Rapa Nui descent,serving as the mayor of Easter Island between 2008 and 2012. [1]
Luz Zasso was born in Easter Island to parents Ambrosio Guillermo Zasso Leiva and María Raquel Paoa Huki. [2] She received a degree in Construction engineering from the University of Viña del Mar. Since 2015,she has served as the General Manager of Sasipa,the company that distributes electricity to the island. [3]
