The Everly Brothers were an American rock duo, known for steel-string acoustic guitar playing and close harmony singing. Consisting of Isaac Donald "Don" Everly and Phillip "Phil" Everly, the duo combined elements of rock and roll, country, and pop, becoming pioneers of country rock.

Holly Suzette Dunn was an American country music singer and songwriter. Dunn recorded for MTM Records between 1985 and 1988, Warner Bros. Records between 1988 and 1993, and River North Records between 1995 and 1997. She released 10 albums and charted 19 singles, plus two duets on the Hot Country Songs charts. Two of her single releases, "Are You Ever Gonna Love Me" and "You Really Had Me Going", went to No. 1 on that chart. Other songs for which she is known include "Daddy's Hands" and "Maybe I Mean Yes". Dunn's brother, Chris Waters, is a songwriter and record producer, having worked with both his sister and other artists in these capacities. Dunn retired from music in 2003, and died of ovarian cancer in 2016.
Judy Mae Rodman is an American country music singer and songwriter. In the mid-1980s, she was a successful recording artist; making it all the way to number one on the Billboard Hot Country Singles Chart in 1986 with the song "Until I Met You." She also won the Academy of Country Music's "Top New Female Vocalist" award in 1985.
Greatest Hits… and Then Some is the first compilation album by American country music artist Aaron Tippin. Released on RCA Nashville in 1997, it is composed of nine tracks from his first five studio albums, as well as four newly recorded tracks: "Cold Gray Kentucky Morning", "A Door", "That's What Happens When I Hold You" and "If Only Your Eyes Could Lie". Of these, "That's What Happens When I Hold You" and "A Door" were released, respectively reaching #50 and #65 on the Billboard Hot Country Singles & Tracks charts. After this album's release, Tippin exited RCA Nashville's roster, and signed in 1998 to Lyric Street Records.

The discography of American country music artist Holly Dunn contains nine studio albums, one compilation album, 26 singles and 12 music videos. Originally a songwriter for MTM Records, she signed with the same label as a recording artist in 1985. Her debut single was 1985's "Praying for Keeps", which became a minor hit. In the same year she issued her self-titled debut album, her single "Daddy's Hands" became a major hit. The single peaked at number 7 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart. In 1987, her second album Cornerstone was issued. The record spawned three top ten country hits: "Love Someone Like Me", "Only When I Love" and "Strangers Again".
James Stroud is an American musician and record producer who works in pop, rock, R&B, soul, disco, and country music. He played with the Malaco Rhythm Section for Malaco Records. In the 1990s, he was the president of Giant Records and held several credits as a session drummer. He later worked for DreamWorks Records Nashville and in 2008 founded his own label, Stroudavarious Records.
The Sky Kings was an American country music supergroup formed in 1991 as Four Wheel Drive. The band consisted of John Cowan, Bill Lloyd, Patrick Simmons and Rusty Young. They were signed to a recording deal with RCA Nashville and completed an album which for the label was never released.
"On the Other Hand" is a song written by Paul Overstreet and Don Schlitz, and recorded by American country music artist Randy Travis. It was first released as a single in July 1985, peaking at number 67 in the United States. It was Travis' first single with Warner Bros. Nashville and was only a minor hit. After the chart successes of Travis' next single, "1982", the label reissued "On the Other Hand" in April 1986, and it became his first number one hit in both the United States and Canada. "On the Other Hand" and "1982" were both included on Travis' 1986 debut album, Storms of Life.
S-K-O, originally known as Schuyler, Knobloch and Overstreet, was an American country music vocal group consisting of Thom Schuyler, J. Fred Knobloch, and Paul Overstreet. The original line-up recorded one album for MTM Records and charted three country hits, including the number one "Baby's Got a New Baby". After Overstreet departed in 1987 for a solo career, he was replaced with Craig Bickhardt, and the group was renamed Schuyler, Knobloch, and Bickhardt, or S-K-B for short. The renamed group released one album and four singles before disbanding in 1989.
"'Are You Ever Gonna Love Me" is a song co-written and recorded by American country music artist Holly Dunn. It was released in May 1989 as the first single from the album The Blue Rose of Texas. Written by Dunn, along with Tom Shapiro and her brother Chris Waters, the song was her first single released by Warner Bros. Records, to which she signed after her previous label, MTM Records, was disestablished.

Overstreet made his debut in 1982 with the single "Beautiful Baby" from an unsuccessful solo debut album for RCA Records Nashville. After this, he joined the trio S-K-O, which recorded for MTM Records and had a number-one single on the Billboard Hot Country Songs charts with "Baby's Got a New Baby".
