Maya Sondhi

Maya Sondhi (born c. 1983) [1] is a British actress and screenwriter. She was born in Birmingham, England. [2] She attended the National Youth Theatre before going on to study at LAMDA. [3] [4] She is the creator and writer of D.I Ray . [5] As an actress she has appeared in Line of Duty and Citizen Khan .

Sarah Anne Akers, known professionally as Suranne Jones, is an English actress and producer. She rose to prominence as Karen McDonald in Coronation Street between 2000 and 2004. Upon leaving, she furthered her television career in drama series including Vincent (2005–2006), Strictly Confidential (2006) and Harley Street (2008). <i>Citizen Khan</i> Family-based British sitcom

Citizen Khan is a British sitcom produced by the BBC and created by Adil Ray. Five series have been shown so far. It is set in Sparkhill, South Birmingham, described by its lead character, a British Pakistani man Mr Khan (Ray), as "the capital of British Pakistan". Citizen Khan follows the trials and tribulations of Mr Khan, a loud-mouthed, patriarchal, cricket-loving, self-appointed community leader, and his long suffering wife and daughters Shazia and Alia. In Series One, Kris Marshall starred as Dave, the manager of Mr Khan's local mosque. The first name of Mrs Khan is Razia; however, Mr Khan's first name is never revealed.
