Merrecia James (born September 16, 1985) is a track and field middle distance athlete, competed collegiately for the University of Maryland Eastern Shore. She is the daughter of Merle Stewart and William James of Jamaica. She has seven half brothers and five half sisters. She represented Jamaica at the North American Central American Caribbean cross country meet in 2004, 2005 and 2006, winning the bronze medal, in 2005 the world half marathon championships in Edmonton Canada and in 2006 the world cross country championship in Fukuoka, Japan. She finished 2nd for Jamaica at the Central American Caribbean reggae half marathon in a time of 1:28:08. In her mid-twenties, James was in Chicago when she was introduced to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was baptized soon afterward.
James was raised by a single parent in the rural community of Portland, Jamaica. She attended Port Antonio High School, where she earned 9 CXC's[ clarification needed ] in a variety of subjects and earned a scholarship to G.C. Foster college. In college, she earned a certificate in Physical Education in 2006. Also in 2006, she was admitted, with the intent to pursue a degree in Exercise Science and Physical Therapy, to the University of Maryland Eastern Shore on a full athletic scholarship, where she has achieved success as a middle distance runner. As a Maryland, she consistently placed 1st in cross-country, 800 m, 1500 m, mile, and 5000 m races in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference, as well as qualifying for Division I NCAA national indoor and outdoor championships in 2007-2008. Additionally, she was a COSIDA All-American in 2007 for her academic and athletic achievements. Jordan Melissa Hasay is an American distance runner. She grew up in Arroyo Grande, California, and attended Mission College Preparatory High School in San Luis Obispo. She was unanimously selected 2008 Girls High School Athlete of the Year by the voting panel at Track and Field News. In March 2009, she became the ninth high school athlete and third woman on the cover of Track and Field News magazine. She attended the University of Oregon, where she studied business administration and competed on the cross country and track and field teams earning 18 All-American honors, 2011 Mile and 3,000 meters NCAA titles. Her father was a high school basketball star in Pennsylvania, and her mother was a national level swimmer in her native England. Jordan Hasay is no longer coached by Alberto Salazar due to his suspension.
Sally Jepkosgei Kipyego is a Kenyan-born American long- and middle-distance runner. She was the silver medallist in the 10,000 metres at the 2011 World Championships in Athletics and the silver medalist in the same race at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London. She has a personal record of 30:38.35 minutes for that event and her 5000 metres best of 14:30.42 minutes makes her the second fastest Kenyan woman for the distance.

Blake Russell is an American long-distance runner who represented her country at the 2008 Beijing Olympics. Huddle set the American record in the 5000 m at the 2014 Herculis Diamond League meet in Fontvieille, Monaco (14:42.64), which has since been lowered by Shannon Rowbury and Shelby Houlihan. She also set the American record in the 10,000 m at the 2016 Olympics, with a time of 30:13.17. In 2019 at the London Marathon, she lowered her P.R. to 2:26:33, finishing 12th, with her training partner, Emily Sisson, also setting a PR with a 2:23:08 debut at the distance, finishing 6th, after they ran the first half together.

Fernando Cabada Jr. is an American distance runner. He first established himself in the national running scene while in high school when he was ranked among the ten fastest high school boys in the 3200 meters in the United States. Having developed a reputation as an elite prospect, he accepted a scholarship from University of Arkansas, but became disenchanted with school and attended a total of four different colleges before quitting running altogether and pursuing manual labor jobs in the early 2000s. Cabada then returned to competitive running with Virginia Intermont College coach Scott Simmons, who helped Cabada prepare for his 2006 marathon debut in Fukuoka, Japan, which he ran in 2:12:27. Since then, Cabada established himself primarily as a marathoner.
