Metz Township is a township in Vernon County, in the U.S. state of Missouri. [1]

History

The first permanent settlement at Metz Township was made in 1829. [2] Metz Township was erected in 1873, taking its name from the community of Metz, Missouri. [3]

Vernon County is located in the western region of the U.S. state of Missouri, on the border with Kansas. As of the 2020 census, the population was 19,707. Its county seat is Nevada.
