Politics of Namibia takes place in a framework of a semi-presidential representative democratic republic, whereby the President of Namibia is both head of state and head of government, and of a pluriform multi-party system. Executive power is exercised by both the president and the government. Legislative power is vested in the two chambers of Parliament. The judiciary is independent of the executive and the legislature.
Theo-Ben Gurirab was a Namibian politician who served in various senior government positions. He served as the second Prime Minister of Namibia from 28 August 2002 to 20 March 2005, following the demotion and subsequent resignation of Hage Geingob. Previously he was the country's first Minister of Foreign Affairs from 1990 to 2002, and was President of the United Nations General Assembly from 1999 to 2000. He was Speaker of the National Assembly of Namibia from 2005 to 2015, when he was replaced by Peter Katjavivi. Gurirab ultimately resigned from politics in 2015.

Nahas Gideon Angula is a Namibian politician who served as the third Prime Minister of Namibia from 21 March 2005 to 4 December 2012. He was succeeded by Hage Geingob in a cabinet reshuffle after the 2012 SWAPO Party congress. He subsequently served as Minister of Defence from 2012 to 2015.
The United Democratic Front (UDF) is a political party in Namibia. Justus ǁGaroëb founded the party in 1989 and led it until 2013. He was succeeded by Apius Auchab.

Okombahe is a settlement in the Erongo Region of eastern central Namibia, situated on the Omaruru River 70 kilometres (43 mi) north of Karibib. It is regarded as the capital of the ǂNûkhoen (Damara) tribe; the annual King's Festival is held at the town's Gaob Memorial Stadium. Before independence of Namibia, Okombahe was situated at the edge of the Damaraland bantustan. Martin Luther High School and Dibasen Junior Secondary School are situated in the village.
Immanuel Ngatjizeko was a Namibian politician and member of the ruling SWAPO Party. He held five ministerial portfolios from 2003 until his retirement in 2018.
Bernhardt Martin Esau is a Namibian politician. A member of the South West Africa People's Organization (SWAPO), Esau has been a member of the National Assembly since being nominated by President Sam Nujoma and subsequently elected in the 1994 Namibian general election.

She advised the Culture and Heritage Sector on the appropriate measures towards research, conservation, management and promotion of Namibia's cultural heritage resources. She worked closely with local communities to strengthen, encourage and promote their involvement in the preservation and management of their heritage properties. She liaised and collaborated with regional, international heritage professionals and other bodies relating to scientific research and conservation of heritage resources. Her notable scientific and management work is particularly known in the Brandberg, Erongo Mountains, Twyfelfontein World Heritage Site, Spitzkoppe Mountains, Sperrgebiet, Khuiseb Delta, Etosha and Kalahari Basin. She has also assisted the National Museum of Namibia in relations to policy development, preservation, curation and management of archaeological objects, repatriated human remains.
Apius Auchab is a Namibian politician who has served as the president of the United Democratic Front since 2013. He has been a Member of the National Assembly since 2015. He was previously the party's vice president from 2009 until 2013. Auchab was also the regional councillor for the Dâures Constituency in the Erongo Region until his defeat in 2010.
Germina Ndapua Shitaleni was a Namibian SWAPO politician. She was mayor of Swakopmund from 2008 to 2010, and a member of the National Council representing the Erongo Region from 2010 until her death.
