The Ministry of Transportation (Indonesian : Kementerian Perhubungan), formerly Department of Transportation (Indonesian : Departemen Perhubungan) is a government ministry responsible for the governance and regulation of transportation in Indonesia. The Ministry is located in Jakarta. [1]

Construction of the airport Nop Goliath is built on an area of 230 hectares, there have been initiated in the period 2004-2010 by using a budget of Rp 321 billion The airport was built to be a logistics distribution center in the highland region of Papua, as well as supporting the mobility of people and goods. The Indonesian Sea and Coast Guard is an agency of Government of Indonesia which main function is to ensure the safety of shipping inside the Indonesian Maritime Zone. KPLP has the task of formulating and execute policies, standards, norms, guidelines, criteria and procedures, as well as technical guidance, evaluation and reporting on patrol and security, safety monitoring and Civil Service Investigator (PPNS), order of shipping, water, facilities and infrastructure of coastal and marine guarding. KPLP is under the Directorate General of Sea Transportation of the Indonesian Ministry of Transportation. Therefore, KPLP reports directly to the Minister of Transportation of the Republic of Indonesia. KPLP is not associated or part of the Indonesian National Armed Forces. KPLP, however often conduct joint-exercise and joint-operations with the Indonesian Navy.
Ir. Herling Laoh, was a Christian Indonesian politician, bureaucrat and entrepreneur from what is today the province North Sulawesi. A member of the nationalistic Indonesian National Party (PNI), he served in a number of cabinet posts during the Indonesian National Revolution, including as Minister of Transportation and Minister of Public Works and Housing. Born to a goldsmith and his wife, in Tompaso, Dutch East Indies. He was the younger brother of Frits Laoh, who would become a politician later in life. He studied at the Technische Hoogeschool te Bandoeng (THB), and graduated in 1928.

A member of the Indonesian Christian Party (Parkindo), he served in a number of national cabinets during the Indonesian National Revolution. Born in Pahae, North Tapanuli, he studied at the Technische Hoogeschool te Bandoeng (THB), and graduated as a civil engineer in 1939. Subsequently, he worked at the Waterloopkundig Laboratory and later at the Waterstaatsdienst. During the Japanese occupation, he became the head of the Provinciale Waterstaat of West Java, before he moved to Sukabumi and later Jakarta, to work in the Public works office.
