Hypermart USA was a demonstrator project operated by Walmart in the 1980s and 1990s, which attempted to combine groceries and general merchandise under one roof at a substantial discount. The hypermart concept was modeled after earlier efforts from other retailers, notably French retailers such as Auchan and Carrefour, and the Midwestern big retailer Meijer.

Metrocenter was a regional enclosed shopping mall in northwest Phoenix, Arizona. It was bounded by Interstate 17, 31st, Dunlap and Peoria Avenues. It is anchored by Dillard's Clearance Center and Walmart Supercenter, both of which remain open. The mall featured 100 stores, a 12 screen movie theater, and a food court. Since January 2012, the mall has been owned by the Carlyle Development Group based in New York City. The mall officially closed on June 30, 2020.

At 1,170,000 square feet (109,000 m2) of gross leasable area, it is the largest mall in the Hampton Roads metropolitan area of southeastern Virginia and one of the largest malls on the East Coast. The mall contains more than 180 stores, including Dillard's, JCPenney, and Macy's as main anchor stores. Other stores and junior anchors at the mall include Apple, Barnes & Noble, Dick's Sporting Goods, L.L. Bean, XXI Forever, H&M, and Old Navy. Dave & Busters is also a recent addition to the mall and region. An 18 screen AMC Theatres complex anchors an open-air pedestrian plaza. The mall is managed by Brookfield Properties Retail Group of Chicago, Illinois.
Antioch Crossing is a shopping center in Kansas City, Missouri on the site of the former Antioch Center, a mall which opened in 1956 and became nearly vacant by 2005. The majority of the former dead mall was demolished in January 2012, with the exception of two anchor stores, and redevelopment on the site began in 2014. The shopping center is currently anchored by Burlington Coat Factory, Walmart Neighborhood Market, Vintage Stock, and a vacant space previously occupied by Sears until July 2017.
Baybrook Mall is a shopping mall located near the Clear Lake City area in Houston, Texas; It has a Friendswood mailing address, but it is in the Houston city limits. The mall is located off Interstate 45, and it is also in proximity to Webster and the NASA Johnson Space Center. The mall's anchor stores in the lifestyle power center include a Dick's Sporting Goods and Field & Stream combo store; the anchor stores in the enclosed mall are Dillard's, JCPenney, Macy's, a large-scale Forever 21, and one vacant anchor space last occupied by Sears.
North Towne Square Mall was a shopping mall in Toledo, Ohio, United States. It opened in 1981 on the north side of Toledo, adjacent to the Michigan state border. Originally, the mall featured three major anchor stores, as well as several shops and restaurants, plus a movie theater. Changes in demographics and consolidations of anchor stores over time caused the mall to decline. By 2005, it was closed off except for a fitness center operating out of the former Montgomery Ward store, which is still in operation as of December, 2014.

It is located on El Paso's east side, at Interstate 10 and Hawkins Blvd., and features five anchor stores operating under four brand names, and 134 specialty stores. It is the largest of the three malls in the metro area; its sister Simon property, Sunland Park Mall, is second.

The mall's anchor stores are J. C. Penney, Macy's, and Dillard's Clearance Center. Predating the mall's opening was a Sears department store opened in 1963; this store closed in 2016 and has undergone demolition for redevelopment of the mall. Other major tenants include Premiere Cinemas, a food court, and Planet Fitness. The mall is managed by UP Development, Inc.

Former anchors were Dillard's, Montgomery Ward, Mervyn's, Sears, and Macy's. The mall also included a food court and formerly included a movie theater. It was also a dead mall, having closed in 2011.
Chesterfield Mall is a shopping mall in Chesterfield, Missouri, at the intersection of Interstate 64/U.S. Routes 40-61 and Clarkson Road. The mall opened in 1976, built by Richard Jacobs. Chesterfield Mall includes about 30 shops, one anchor store (Macy's), five restaurants, and an AMC Megaplex theater. With of the closing of Northwest Plaza in St. Ann in 2010, Chesterfield Mall became the largest shopping mall in the St. Louis metropolitan area.
