Season two premiered with Merete Lingjærde, Geir Bie and Vibeke Sørlie as permanent judges and Henriette Lien returning to host. Contemporary dancer Hanna Mjåvatn was crowned Norway's Favourite Dancer and the top price of 500,000 norwegian kroner, as the first female dancer to win the competition in every version of the show. Runner-up were hip-hop dancer Eric Nærbø, with jazz dancer Michelle Purvis finishing 3rd, and Latin ballroom dancer Bjørn Holthe finishing 4th.

Brown co-wrote the song with frequent collaborator Sevyn Streeter of American girl group RichGirl. The Purpose World Tour was the third concert tour by Canadian singer Justin Bieber, in support of his fourth studio album Purpose (2015). The tour started on March 9, 2016, in Seattle, Washington, and concluded on July 2, 2017, in London, United Kingdom. After that, the remaining 14 shows of the tour were cancelled due to Bieber's mental health issues.

Melodi Grand Prix2024 is set to be the 62nd edition of Melodi Grand Prix (MGP), the annual Norwegian music competition that serves as the country's preselection for the Eurovision Song Contest. It will be organised by Norway's public broadcaster NRK, and will consist of three semi-finals and a final, held between 13 January and 3 February 2024. The winner will represent Norway in the Eurovision Song Contest 2024 in Malmö, Sweden.
