Monique Elyse Evans (born January 17, 1992) is an American dancer and beauty pageant titleholder who was crowned Miss Texas 2014 and Miss Florida USA 2020. She represented Texas at Miss America 2015 and placed in the top sixteen and also represented Florida at Miss USA 2020.

Career

Evans won the Miss Austin 2011 crown, and placed 8th at the Miss Texas 2011 pageant. [2] [3] Evans was named Miss Hunt County 2012 on October 29, 2011, and placed 11th at Miss Texas 2012. [4] [5] Evans won the Miss Dallas 2013 title, but was a non-finalist for Miss Texas 2013. [6] [7] In July 2013, Gulfshore Life magazine named her one of three finalists in their "Model of the Year" contest for amateur models with ties to Southwest Florida. [8] [9]

In November 2013, Evans earned the title of Miss Park Cities, and the right to compete for the Miss Texas 2014 crown. [10] Evans is a professionally trained ballerina, and her Miss Texas competition talent was performing ballet en pointe to "Requiem for a Tower". [11] [12] Evans won the Miss Texas 2014 title on July 5, 2014, when she received her crown from outgoing titleholder Ivana Hall at the Eisemann Center for Performing Arts in Richardson, Texas. [11] [13] Prizes for winning Miss Texas include a $10,000 cash scholarship, a wardrobe by fashion designer Vince Camuto, and use of an automobile from Grubbs Infiniti in Euless, Texas, while she holds the title. As Miss Texas, Evans competed to be crowned Miss America 2015 at Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, New Jersey, on Sunday, September 14, 2014. [11] [14] Her platform, "Remember Your Heart: One Beat at a Time", focused on heart disease prevention and was inspired by cardiac issues in her immediate family. [4] [14] She placed in the Top 16 as a semi-finalist. During her year of service, Evans made a record-setting 470 appearances as Miss Texas. [15]

Evans moved back to the state of Florida, where she competed for the Miss Florida USA 2018 and 2019 titles, and placed 2nd runner up for those respective years. [16]

In January 2020, she competed for and won Miss Florida USA 2020 title. [17] She was crowned by outgoing titleholder Nicolette Jennings, and would represent the state of Florida at Miss USA 2020. [17] In addition, she will serve as a goodwill ambassador for the organization.[ citation needed ]

Miss USA 2020 was originally scheduled for the spring of 2020, the competition was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and later held on November 9, 2020, but did not place.

In July 2021, Evans passed the title to Ashley Cariño of Kissimmee, becoming the longest state titleholder in the history, surpassing Linette De Los Santos due to COVID delays. [18]

Personal life

Evans was born in Laguna Beach, California, and grew up in Naples, Florida. [3] She is a 2010 graduate of Naples High School. [19] [20] As of 2017, she was living in Naples, Florida, working as a specialty pharma rep and ballet instructor. Her older brother was born with Shone's syndrome, a rare congenital heart disease. [4] [20] On Dec. 12, 2021 Monique married Geoffrey Paul Isringhausen in Naples, Florida.

Alyssa Marie Campanella is an American model, blogger, and beauty pageant titleholder who was crowned Miss USA 2011. Having previously been crowned Miss California USA 2011, Campanella was the sixth woman representing California to win the Miss USA title. As Miss USA, Campanella represented the United States at Miss Universe 2011, where she placed in the top sixteen. A native of New Jersey, Campanella was also crowned Miss New Jersey Teen USA 2007 and placed as the first runner-up at Miss Teen USA 2007.

Andrea Michelle Neu is an American beauty pageant titleholder who was crowned Miss Earth United States 2014 that gave her the right to represent the United States in Miss Earth 2014. On November 29, 2014, Andrea was chosen as Miss Earth - Air in Miss Earth 2014 in the Philippines.

Candice Marie Bennatt is an American lawyer and beauty pageant titleholder who was crowned Miss New Mexico 2012 and represented New Mexico at Miss America 2013 but did not place. She was crowned Miss Louisiana USA 2015 and then represented Louisiana at Miss USA 2015 where she placed Top 11.

Miss Americas Outstanding Teen 2015 Beauty pageant edition

Miss America's Outstanding Teen 2015 was the 9th Miss America's Outstanding Teen pageant held at the Linda Chapin Theater in the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida on August 2, 2014. At the conclusion of the event, Leah Sykes of Florida crowned her successor Olivia McMillan of Georgia. Miss America 2014 Nina Davuluri was a host of the event.

Miss USA 2020 was the 69th Miss USA pageant. It was held at the Exhibition Centre and the Soundstage at Graceland in Memphis, Tennessee, on November 9, 2020. Akbar Gbaja-Biamila and Allie LaForce served as hosts, while Cheslie Kryst and Christian Murphy served as backstage commentators, and Haley Reinhart performed. Cheslie Kryst of North Carolina crowned Asya Branch of Mississippi as her successor at the end of the event. Branch is the second consecutive African American to win the title, and the fourth one in five years. This is Mississippi's first win at the Miss USA pageant. Branch represented the United States at the Miss Universe 2020 pageant and placed in the Top 21.

Ashley Ann Cariño Barreto is a Puerto Rican-American model and beauty pageant titleholder who was crowned Miss Universe Puerto Rico 2022. She will represent Puerto Rico at Miss Universe 2022, and is the second Afro-Puerto Rican to win the title. Previously, Cariño was crowned Miss Florida USA 2021 and placed as the second runner-up at Miss USA 2021.
