Nate Gallick

Nathan "Nate" Gallick (born February 10, 1983) [1] is an American NCAA champion, [2] a two-time NCAA finalist and a three-time All-American [3] for the Cyclones. Gallick has won two Midlands titles and three Big 12 Conference championships. [4] [5] Additionally, he was a U.S. Senior national champion, a four-time U.S. national team member, and finished third at the 2008 U.S. Olympic Team Trials. [6]

Biography

Nate Gallick was a wrestler at Sunnyside High School, where he won two Arizona state championships. He competed at 119 pounds in 2000 and 125 pounds in 2001. [7] Gallick graduated college in Iowa State University. [8]

In 2006, Gallick was named the Outstanding Wrestler at the 73rd Big 12 Wrestling Tournament. [9]

After his competitive career, Gallick served as a coach alongside Chris Bono at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga for two seasons and was a volunteer assistant coach for Kevin Jackson at Iowa State in 2009. [4] [6]

After that Douglas coached several U.S Olympic teams, is one of only four collegiate coaches to win more than 400 dual meets, and he won an NCAA team national title at Arizona State. Mark Philip Schultz is a former American freestyle wrestler. Schultz was a 3-time NCAA champion, Olympic champion and 2-time World champion. In 1995, Schultz was inducted into the National Wrestling Hall of Fame as a Distinguished Member. He is also in the San Jose Sports Hall of Fame, the California Wrestling Hall of Fame, and the San Mateo Peninsula Sports Hall of Fame.

As a folkstyle wrestler, Lee won the James E. Sullivan Award and the Dan Hodge Trophy twice, as well as three NCAA Division I national championships out of the University of Iowa. Lee was often considered one of the most dominant athletes in college athletics.

Mark John Hall II is an American freestyle wrestler and graduated folkstyle wrestler who currently competes at 86 kilograms. David Aaron Carr (born March 28, 1999) is an American freestyle and folkstyle wrestler. In freestyle, he was the '19 junior world champion at 74 kilograms representing the United States. As a folkstyle wrestler, Carr is an NCAA Division I national champion, three-time NCAA Division I All-American, and four-time Big 12 Conference champion, the second to win his conference four times at Iowa State University. He was also a four-time OHSAA champion as a high schooler.

Zahid Valencia is an American freestyle wrestler and graduated folkstyle wrestler who competes at 86 kilograms. As a folkstyle wrestler, he was a two-time NCAA Division I national champion and three-time Pac-12 Conference champion out of Arizona State University. In freestyle, he was the 2019 US national champion and has competed at multiple international tournaments, winning gold at the Matteo Pellicone Ranking Series 2021 and 2021 Poland Open and bronze at the Grand Prix de France Henri Deglane 2021.

Nick Gallick is a former wrestler and a bronze medalist at the 2009 NCAA Wrestling Championship. Before his injury, Gallick was ranked No. 1 in the nation at 141 pounds and was a contender for the national title at his weight class.
