New England Valkyries Rugby Football Club were a rugby union football club mainly based in Boston, MA.

Members

The New England Valkyries were a primarily gay-identified but all-inclusive team. They had a diverse group of players: gay, straight, bi-sexual, young, old, experienced, and newbie.

History

The Valkyries formed in September 2013. Some if its members are former Boston Ironsides RFC members.

In May 2013, before forming as an officially recognized IGRAB team, the Valkyries first played in the Chicago Combustion Tournament. At the time, they were a barbarian rugby team composed mostly of current Boston Ironsides players. They finished in 2nd place (out of 7 teams) and took home a trophy from the 2013 Chicago Combustion tournament.

In November 2013, the Valkyries came in 2nd place (out of 3 teams) in the Charlotte Tourney.

Sherborne Rugby Football Club is a rugby union club in Dorset in the south west of England. The club was established in 1980. It has a membership of 100 senior players and a further 300 boys and girls in the junior section. The club runs two men's teams with the 1st XV currently playing in South West 1 East - a league at level 6 of the English rugby union system - following their promotion as champions of Southern Counties South at the end of the 2018–19 season, while the 2nd XV play in Dorset & Wilts 1 South, following their promotion from Dorset & Wilts 2 South at the end of the 2017-18 season.
