The Olympia Reign was a semi-professional basketball team competing in the International Basketball League (IBL). The club ceased operations after playing two of a scheduled six-game schedule in 2014.

History

Based in Tumwater, Washington, they were founded in 2008 and played home games in the Nisqually Tribe Youth Recreation Center. They were sponsored by the Little Creek Casino Resort, [1] the Kamilche Trading Post, Farmers Insurance Group, Oympia Physical Therapy, Northwest Sports Medicine Center, and the Brick on Trosper.

After three full seasons in the IBL the Reign and Little Creek Casino Resort parted ways. [2] The club played just two games in 2013 and again in 2014 as a "branding team" in the league, not eligible for IBL playoffs.

Bellingham Slam

The Bellingham Slam are a semi-professional basketball team that formerly competed for seven seasons in the International Basketball League. Before joining the IBL, they played two seasons in the American Basketball Association. They were originally expected to play in Everett, Washington, but were relocated to Bellingham, Washington under the ownership of John Dominguez. The team currently competes in the annual Seattle Pro–Am basketball tournament organized by Seattle, Washington native and National Basketball Association (NBA) player Jamal Crawford.

The International Basketball League (IBL) was a semi-professional men's basketball league featuring teams from the West Coast of the United States. In 2010 the Albany Legends became the first team in the Northeastern United States to join. The IBL also sometimes featured teams from China and Japan which temporarily relocated to the United States for the IBL season. The IBL season typically ran from the end of March through July.

The Portland Chinooks was a professional men's basketball team based out of Portland, Oregon. They were charter members of the International Basketball League and began play in the league in 2004. The team was owned by local businessman Terry Emmert. They played their home games at various locations since their inception, including the Peter Stott Center, the Rose Garden, and at Eastmoreland Courts in southeast Portland. The team colors of red and black were shared with their predecessors from the NBA, the Portland Trail Blazers.

This is not the first attempt at a professional basketball franchise in Tacoma. The Tacoma Thunder played for two seasons in the league and were replaced by a franchise named the Tacoma Jets, who never took to the courts, having been replaced by the Jazz. In 2009, the team was replaced by the Tacoma Tide.

The Yamhill HighFlyers were an International Basketball League team based in McMinnville, Oregon. It was the first professional sports franchise of Yamhill County, Oregon. The team was founded by owner/general manager Eric Bailey in 2009 and was operated by YHF Entertainment, LLC. The High Flyers worked to gain the support of local business and offer opportunities for local athletes. The team did not field a team in 2013. The voice of the HighFlyers was the local radio personality Brian Eriksen, games were carried on local radio station KLYC 1260AM.

Indonesian Basketball League

Indonesian Basketball League is the preeminent men's professional basketball league in Indonesia, founded by Indonesian Basketball Association (Perbasi) in 2003. From 2010 to 2015 it was known as the National Basketball League (NBL) and organised by DBL Indonesia. In 2016, PT Bola Basket Indonesia acquired Starting 5 and after that PT Bola Basket Indonesia assigned by PP Perbasi to organised the league.

OL Reign

OL Reign is an American professional women's soccer team based in Tacoma, Washington. Founded by Bill and Teresa Predmore in 2012 as Seattle Reign FC, it was one of eight inaugural members of the National Women's Soccer League (NWSL). In 2020, OL Groupe, the parent company of French clubs Olympique Lyonnais and Olympique Lyonnais Féminin, became the team's majority owner and rebranded to its current name, badge, and colors. They joined the league after playing one season in the American Basketball Association. After the 2014 season they folded along with the league.

Little Caesars Arena Indoor arena in Detroit, Michigan

Little Caesars Arena is a multi-purpose arena in Midtown Detroit. Construction began on April 24, 2015, following a formal groundbreaking ceremony on September 25, 2014. Opened on September 5, 2017, the arena, which cost $862.9 million to construct, replaced Joe Louis Arena and The Palace of Auburn Hills as the homes of the Detroit Red Wings of the National Hockey League (NHL) and the Detroit Pistons of the National Basketball Association (NBA), respectively.

The 2017 season was the inaugural Big3 season. The regular season began on June 25, 2017 and ended on August 13, 2017. On August 26, 2017, Trilogy defeated the 3 Headed Monsters 51–46 in the Big3 Championship game, completing a perfect (10–0) season.
