The Press Blocks is a three-building, mixed-use development planned for Portland, Oregon's Goose Hollow neighborhood, in the United States. The $20 million purchase by Urban Renaissance Group and Security Properties closed in February 2017. [1] [2] Prior to construction of the new buildings, multiple buildings will be demolished, including one that formerly housed The Oregonian's printing press. The newspaper's parent company, Advance Publications, sold the property. [2]

In March 2017, the Portland Design Commission rejected plans for the development, which had to be revised and resubmitted for approval. [3]

Migration Brewing opened a taproom on the ninth floor of the Canvas building in 2020; the location became permanent in 2021. [4]

5 World Trade Center is a planned skyscraper at the World Trade Center in Lower Manhattan, New York City. The site is across Liberty Street, to the south of the main 16-acre (6.5 ha) World Trade Center site. In February 2021 it was announced the new 5 World Trade Center will be developed in a joint venture between Silverstein Properties and Brookfield Properties. The proposed building shares its name with the original 5 World Trade Center, which was heavily damaged as a result of the collapse of the North Tower during the September 11 attacks and was later demolished.

Bell Labs Holmdel Complex Research facility in New Jersey

The Bell Labs Holmdel Complex, in Holmdel Township, New Jersey, United States, functioned for forty-four years as a research and development facility, initially for the Bell System and later Bell Labs. The centerpiece of the campus is an Eero Saarinen–designed structure that served as the home to over 6,000 engineers and researchers. This modernist building, dubbed "The Biggest Mirror Ever" by Architectural Forum, due to its mirror box exterior, was the site of at least one Nobel Prize discovery, the laser cooling work of Steven Chu. The building has undergone renovations into a multi-purpose living and working space, dubbed Bell Works by its redevelopers. Since 2013 it has been operated by Somerset Development, who redeveloped the building into a mixed-use office for high-tech startup companies.
