Quro (born Andrew Michael Bradley) is an Australian hip hop MC from Adelaide, South Australia who later relocated to Sydney. He has been involved in the Australian hip hop scene [1] [2] [3] [4] since about 1992, when he formed part of the Adelaide hip hop group Finger Lickin Good with MC Madcap. [5] Quro, as Andrew Bradley, has also worked on radio and as a journalist. [4] He also contributed a verse on the Def Wish Cast track Saga (Iron Fist) from their debut LP Knights of the Underground Table .

Quro then formed the live hip hop group Fuglemen [4] [6] with Muskrat and Madcap, releasing two albums, Resuscitation (1997) and Memento Mori (1999). Over the years he has appeared as a guest vocalist on many artist albums and compilations, including Culture Of Kings Volume 2 [7] and Straight From The Art. [8]

He has released two albums as a solo artist, This Last Week I've... and Looking For Andrew Bradley and with producer and DJ Mostyn (Space Unit) formed Reference Point in 1999 after moving to Sydney. The duo released their album Save The World [9] in 2000 and the BackwordsForewords single on Pacifica Records in 2001. [10] [11] Following this Quro fronted the live hip hop group Upshot [12] [13] (who released their album Make It Happen in 2004) and continued to work with Mostyn releasing their Goodnight Mr Howard EP in July 2007.

Despite its genesis as an offshoot of American hip hop, Australian hip hop has developed a distinct personality that reflects its evolution as an Australian musical style.

Melissha Martinez, better known by her stage name Maya Jupiter, is a Mexican-born Australian rapper, songwriter, MC and radio personality. She released her debut album, Today, in 2003. She was a member of hip-hop group, Foreign Heights, with MC Trey and DJ Nick Toth, which released a self-titled album in 2007. At the ARIA Music Awards of 2007 the trio was nominated for 'Best Urban Release' for "Get Yours (Remix)". From 2004 to 2008, Jupiter hosted the national radio station, Triple J's weekly Hip-Hop Show. Thereafter she pursued her solo career based in Los Angeles and released her second album, Maya Jupiter, in December 2010.

TZU were an Australian hip hop group, formed in 1999 by Joelistics, Yeroc, Seed MC and Paso Bionic. They used instruments in live performances, giving their shows a rock-infused feeling. Duzy What joined in 2005. TZU released four studio albums, Position Correction (2004), Smiling at Strangers (2005), Computer Love and Millions of Moments (2012), before disbanding in 2013.

Paul Nakad is an Australian actor and rapper, best known by the name Sleek the Elite. He began performing music as Sleek the Elite in 1991, then appeared in the SBS television series Pizza as a character by that same name. Knights of the Underground Table is the debut album by the Australian hip hop group Def Wish Cast. It was released in 1993 on CD and cassette by Random Records. The album was recorded in St Clair in Western Sydney. Group members Def Wish and Sereck designed the Def Wish Cast logo that appears on the album artwork. It is one of the first full length Australian hip hop albums.

Brethren is an Australian hip hop duo from Sydney formed in 1989. The group comprises Matthew Peet a.k.a. "Mistery" and Claude Rodriguez a.k.a. Wizdm. They have performed live locally, notably at festivals including The Big Day Out, Livid and Blackstump Music Festival.

Brothers Stoney is an Australian hip hop group hailing from Brisbane, Queensland. The crew comprises emcees Lazy Grey and Len One. Both Lazy Grey and Len One are members of the Brisbane hip hop crew, 750 Rebels.

Chance Dylan Waters, is an ex independent Australian hip hop artist and record producer. As Phatchance, Waters was a founder of the group, Natural Causes, in 2003 which issued an album, The Incidental Noise Demo, and toured nationally. The group disbanded later that year.

DJ Damage is an Australian hip hop DJ and turntablist from Brisbane, Australia. He started in hip hop culture via breaking and buying records in 1983. DJ Damage was in Brisbane mid 90s hip hop group Towering Inferno, and a member of the Big Rigs six turntable DJ team from the same period. DJ Damage is currently a member of The Optimen. He was a member of the turntablist crew the Terntable Jediz. He is also a member of the Brisbane new jazz and funk band Step It Up.
