The Iowa State Cyclones are the intercollegiate athletic teams that represent Iowa State University, located in Ames. The university is a member of the Big 12 Conference and competes in NCAA Division I, fielding 16 varsity teams in 12 sports.
The NJIT Highlanders, formerly the New Jersey Tech Highlanders, are the varsity sport members of the Division I NCAA-affiliated sports teams of New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT). There are ten men's teams, seven women's teams, and three club teams along with a variety of intramural teams. The school's primary conference is the America East Conference. In November 2017 NJIT opened the Wellness and Events Center (WEC) which incorporates upgraded facilities for most Division 1 sports including a 3,500-seat arena for basketball and volleyball.
The Liberty Flames and Lady Flames are the athletics teams of Liberty University, in Lynchburg, Virginia, United States. They are a member of the NCAA Division I level in 20 sports. As of July 1, 2023, LU is a member of Conference USA (C-USA) for most sports, joining that league after five years as a member of the ASUN Conference. Four sports that are not sponsored by C-USA are housed elsewhere. The field hockey team was a member of the Northern Pacific Field Hockey Conference before that league's demise after the 2014 season. After playing the 2015 season as an independent, the team joined the Big East Conference in 2016. Women's lacrosse remains in the ASUN Conference, and women's swimming & diving joined the ASUN when it effectively absorbed the swimming & diving side of the Coastal Collegiate Sports Association after the 2022–23 season. Men's soccer competes in the Ohio Valley Conference. In football, Liberty had participated in the NCAA Division I Football Bowl Subdivision as an independent before joining C-USA. The mascot, Sparky, is frequently seen at events. Liberty University is the second youngest school in NCAA Division I, founded in 1971. As a member of the Big South Conference, Liberty regularly competed for the Sasser Cup, which is the trophy for the university which has the best sports program among the member institutions. Liberty won the Sasser Cup 14 times, the most in Big South Conference history.
The Radford Highlanders are composed of 15 teams representing Radford University in intercollegiate athletics, including men and women's basketball, cross country, golf, soccer, and tennis. Men's sports include baseball. Women's sports include volleyball, lacrosse, track and field, and softball. The Highlanders compete in the NCAA Division I and are members of the Big South Conference.

The 2013–14 Radford Highlanders men's basketball team represented Radford University during the 2013–14 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Highlanders, led by third year head coach Mike Jones, played their home games at the Dedmon Center and were members of the North Division of the Big South Conference. They finished the season 22–13, 10–6 in Big South play to finish in third place in the North Division. They advanced to the quarterfinals of the Big South Conference tournament where they lost to UNC Asheville. They were invited to the College Basketball Invitational where they defeated Oregon State in the first round before losing in the quarterfinals to Old Dominion.
The 2014–15 Radford Highlanders men's basketball team represented Radford University during the 2014–15 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Highlanders, led by fourth year head coach Mike Jones, played their home games at the Dedmon Center and were members of the Big South Conference. They finished the season 22–12, 12–6 in Big South play to finish in a three way tie for third place. They lost in the quarterfinals of the Big South tournament to Winthrop. They were invited to the College Basketball Invitational where they Delaware State in the first round before losing in the quarterfinals to Vermont.
The South Florida Bulls women's basketball team represents the University of South Florida in women's basketball. The Bulls compete in the American Athletic Conference in Division I of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA). The Bulls play home basketball games at the Yuengling Center. South Florida is coached by Jose Fernandez, who has been with the Bulls since the 2000–01 season. USF has made the NCAA Division I women's basketball tournament nine times in their history and won the Women's National Invitation Tournament in 2009. They have won three conference championships, taking the regular season American Athletic Conference title in 2021 and 2023 and the AAC tournament crown in 2021.
The Arizona Wildcats women's basketball program is the official women's basketball program at the University of Arizona in Tucson, Arizona. Basketball is one of eleven women's sports at the University of Arizona. The team is a Division I member of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) and the Pac-12 athletic conference. The team's home venue is the McKale Center, which seats 14,545 fans. The official team colors are cardinal red and navy blue. The Wildcats have qualified for eight NCAA Tournaments. On August 4, 2023, Arizona announced it would join the Big 12 Conference along with Arizona State, Colorado, and Utah beginning in the 2024-25 academic year.

The 2018–19 Radford Highlanders women's basketball team represented Radford University during the 2018–19 NCAA Division I women's basketball season. The Highlanders are led by sixth year head coach Mike McGuire. They finished the season 26–7, 17–1 in Big South play win the Big South regular season title. Radford won the conference tournament championship game over the Campbell Lady Camels, 57–45 to earn an automatic bid of the NCAA women's tournament where they lost to Maryland in the first round.
The 2018 Big South Conference women's soccer tournament was the postseason women's soccer tournament for the Big South Conference held from October 27 through November 4, 2018. The quarterfinals of the tournament were held at campus sites, while the semifinals and final took place at Sportsplex at Matthews in Matthews, North Carolina. The eight-team single-elimination tournament consisted of three rounds based on seeding from regular season conference play. The High Point Panthers were the defending champions, but they were eliminated from the 2018 tournament with a 2–0 quarterfinal loss to the Radford Highlanders. The Radford Highlanders won the tournament with a 1–0 win over Gardner–Webb in the final. The conference tournament title was the sixth for the Radford women's soccer program and the sixth for head coach Ben Sohrabi.
The 2019–20 Radford Highlanders men's basketball team represented Radford University in the 2019–20 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Highlanders, led by ninth-year head coach Mike Jones, played their home games at the Dedmon Center in Radford, Virginia, as members of the Big South Conference. They finished the season 21–11, 15–3 in Big South play to win a share of the regular season championship. They defeated Charleston Southern in quarterfinals of the Big South tournament before losing in the semifinals to Hampton. As a regular season conference champion, and No. 1 seed in their conference tournament, who failed to win their conference tournament, they received and automatic bid to the NIT. However, the NIT, and all other postseason tournaments, were cancelled amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

They finished the season 21–12, 15–3 in Big South play to finish in first place. They defeated High Point, UNC Asheville, and VMI to become champions of the Big South tournament. The received the Big South's automatic bid to the NCAA tournament where they were defeated in the first round by the eventual National champions, North Carolina.
