Radford University is a public university in Radford, Virginia. It is one of the state's eight doctorate-granting public universities. Founded in 1910, Radford offers curricula for undergraduates in more than 100 fields, graduate programs including the M.F.A., M.B.A., M.A., M.S., Ed.S., Psy.D., M.S.W., and specialized doctoral programs in health-related professions. It is classified among "Doctoral/Professional Universities".
McLennan Community College (MCC) is a public community college in Waco, Texas, in McLennan County. It opened in 1965 and now serves about 9,000 students and has more than 700 employees. It is governed by a board of trustees elected from single-member districts in the county.
Dedmon Center is a 3,800-seat multi-purpose arena in Radford, Virginia. Construction started in 1979 and finished in 1981. A natatorium featuring an eight-lane olympic-size pool with a diving well was added in 1987. The Dedmon Center is home to the Radford University Highlanders basketball team. The center is named for Dr. Donald Dedmon, who served as president of Radford University from 1972 until 1995 when he retired. It was the tenth air-supported roof built in the United States. The air-supported fabric roof was removed during a major renovation in April 2008 and replaced with a fabric roof supported by steel trusses.
The Dedmon Center reopened on January 21, 2009, with a new lights system, sound system, and a new basketball floor. The venue hosted the final of the 2009 Big South Conference men's basketball tournament and the final of the 2018 and 2019 Big South Conference men's tournament.
The Campbell Fighting Camels are the athletic teams that represent Campbell University, located in Buies Creek, North Carolina, in intercollegiate sports at the Division I level of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), primarily competing in the Coastal Athletic Association since the 2023–24 academic year. In November 2017 NJIT opened the Wellness and Events Center (WEC) which incorporates upgraded facilities for most Division 1 sports including a 3,500-seat arena for basketball and volleyball.

The Radford Highlanders Men's Soccer team is an intercollegiate varsity sports team of Radford University, located in Radford, Virginia. The team is a member of the Big South Conference of the National Collegiate Athletic Association. The team was founded in 1975 as the result of the combined efforts of student-activist G. Thomas Lillard, University President Donald Dedmon, and Athletic Director Charles (Chuck) Taylor.
Williams Field at Carter Memorial Stadium is a baseball venue on the campus of Radford University in Radford, Virginia, United States. It is home to the Radford Highlanders of the NCAA Division I Big South Conference. The field opened in 1986 and underwent extensive renovations in 2011. Its capacity is 800 spectators, with a grass area down the left field line allowing for overflow crowds.
The Concordia Golden Eagles are the athletic teams that represent Concordia University Irvine, located in Irvine, California, in intercollegiate sports as a member of the Division II level of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA). The Golden Eagles primarily compete in the Pacific West Conference (PacWest) for most of their sports since the 2015–16 academic year; while its men's volleyball team competes in the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation (MPSF); and its men's water polo team competes in the Western Water Polo Association (WWPA). CUI previously competed in the Golden State Athletic Conference (GSAC) of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) from 1987–88 to 2014–15; and as an NAIA Independent from 1981–82 to 1986–87. The CUI women's water polo team competed in the Golden Coast Conference (GCC) until the 2022 spring season.
The 2013–14 Radford Highlanders men's basketball team represented Radford University during the 2013–14 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Highlanders, led by third year head coach Mike Jones, played their home games at the Dedmon Center and were members of the North Division of the Big South Conference. They finished the season 22–13, 10–6 in Big South play to finish in third place in the North Division. They advanced to the quarterfinals of the Big South Conference tournament where they lost to UNC Asheville. They were invited to the College Basketball Invitational where they defeated Oregon State in the first round before losing in the quarterfinals to Old Dominion.

Joseph James Raccuia is an American college baseball coach and former player. Raccuia played college baseball at Edison Community College from 1992 to 1993 before transferring to Radford University where he played in 1994 and 1996. Raccuia was the head coach of Radford from 2008 to 2019.
The 2018–19 Radford Highlanders women's basketball team represented Radford University during the 2018–19 NCAA Division I women's basketball season. The Highlanders are led by sixth year head coach Mike McGuire. They finished the season 26–7, 17–1 in Big South play win the Big South regular season title. Radford won the conference tournament championship game over the Campbell Lady Camels, 57–45 to earn an automatic bid of the NCAA women's tournament where they lost to Maryland in the first round.
The 2019–20 Radford Highlanders men's basketball team represented Radford University in the 2019–20 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Highlanders, led by ninth-year head coach Mike Jones, played their home games at the Dedmon Center in Radford, Virginia, as members of the Big South Conference. They finished the season 21–11, 15–3 in Big South play to win a share of the regular season championship. They defeated Charleston Southern in quarterfinals of the Big South tournament before losing in the semifinals to Hampton. As a regular season conference champion, and No. 1 seed in their conference tournament, who failed to win their conference tournament, they received and automatic bid to the NIT. However, the NIT, and all other postseason tournaments, were cancelled amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Highlanders, led by second-year head coach Brad Greenberg, played their home games at the Dedmon Center in Radford, Virginia as members of the Big South Conference. They finished the season 21–12, 15–3 in Big South play to finish in first place. They defeated High Point, UNC Asheville, and VMI to become champions of the Big South tournament. The received the Big South's automatic bid to the NCAA tournament where they were defeated in the first round by the eventual National champions, North Carolina.
Alexander Joseph Guerra is a baseball coach and former infielder, who is the current head baseball coach of the Radford Highlanders. He played college baseball at Greensboro in 2007 and 2008 before transferring to Radford from 2009 to 2011.
