The Charlottesville Tom Sox are a collegiate summer baseball team in Charlottesville, Virginia. [1] They play in the southern division of the Valley Baseball League.

The Tom Sox are the 2017, 2019 and 2022 Valley Baseball League Champions. [2] [3] [4] They finished runner-up in 2018 & 2023.

The team plays its home games at Charlottesville High School. [5]

Mission

The Tom Sox were founded in 2014 and began play in the summer of 2015, marking the first time since 1974 Charlottesville had a team in the Valley Baseball League. [6] The given mission of the team is to "create an unparalleled summer collegiate baseball experience through the development of our players and volunteers and engagement in and with our community, and by holding ourselves to standards of excellence and professionalism on and off the field." [7]
