Champaign is a city in Champaign County, Illinois, United States. The population was 88,302 at the 2020 census. It is the tenth-most populous municipality in Illinois and the fourth most populous city in Illinois outside the Chicago metropolitan area. It is included in the Champaign–Urbana metropolitan area.

235 Van Buren is a high-rise condominium building located in Chicago's Loop neighborhood near the Willis Tower and the 311 South Wacker Drive Building. The 46 story skyscraper was designed by Perkins & Will and built by CMK Companies, a Chicago-based real estate development company. As the building's name suggests, it is located at 235 West Van Buren Street adjacent to the Chicago River at the eastern terminus of Eisenhower Expressway.

Carol Ross Barney is an American architect and the founder and Design Principal of Ross Barney Architects. She is the 2023 winner of the AIA Gold Medal. She became the first woman to design a federal building when commissioned as architect for the Oklahoma City Federal Building, which replaced the bombed Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building. Ross Barney's other projects include the JRC Synagogue, James I Swenson Civil Engineering Building, the CTA Morgan Street Station, and the Chicago Riverwalk.
