Kent is a city in King County,Washington,United States. It is part of the Seattle–Tacoma–Bellevue metropolitan area and had a population of 136,588 as of the 2020 census,making it the fourth-largest municipality in greater Seattle and the sixth-largest in Washington state. The city is connected to Seattle,Bellevue and Tacoma via State Route 167 and Interstate 5,Sounder commuter rail,and commuter buses.

Naches Pass is a mountain pass in the Cascade Range in the state of Washington. It is located about 50 miles (80 km) east of Tacoma and about 50 miles (80 km) northwest of Yakima,near the headwaters of tributary streams of the Naches River on the east and the Greenwater River on the west. The boundaries of Pierce,King,Kittitas,and Yakima counties come together at the pass. The pass lies on the boundary between the Mount Baker-Snoqualmie and Wenatchee National Forests,about 10 miles (16 km) northeast of Mount Rainier National Park. There are no roadways or railways crossing the pass.

Gary Faye Locke is an American politician and diplomat serving as the interim president of Bellevue College,the largest of the institutions that make up the Washington Community and Technical Colleges system. Locke previously served as the 10th United States ambassador to China (2011–2014) and as the 21st governor of Washington (1997–2005). He also served in the Obama administration as United States Secretary of Commerce (2009–2011).

She has painted the official portraits of leading figures in government,law,education,medicine and the arts,including nine state gubernatorial portraits as well as private portraits for families. In 2010 she was commissioned to paint the official portrait of Coast Guard Commandant Admiral Thad Allen and was awarded the commission to paint the official portrait of Admiral Robert J. Papp,Jr.. She has also been commissioned to paint the official portraits of United States Secretary of Commerce Gary Locke and a portrait of the Chief of Staff of the United States Air Force General Norton Schwartz which was unveiled at the Pentagon in early 2013.

Robert French Utter was an American attorney and jurist from Washington. He served as a King County Superior Court judge from 1964 until his appointment to the Washington Court of Appeals in 1968. In 1971 he was appointed to the Washington Supreme Court,where he served for 23 years,including two years as the Chief Justice. Utter is known for his opposition to the death penalty. He dissented in two dozen cases on capital punishment while on the court and resigned in 1995 in protest of it. After resigning from the court,Utter taught the first state constitutional law course in Washington State at the University of Puget Sound School of Law and traveled around the world to help developing nations create independent judiciaries. He died in 2014.
James Morgan Dolliver was an American lawyer,politician and Justice of the Washington Supreme Court from 1976 to 1999,who also served as Chief Justice from 1985 to 1987.

Ralph is currently married to Nancy Bunn, now Nancy Munro. He has thirteen grand kids who he loves dearly.
