The Renfrew County District School Board (RCDSB, known as English-language Public District School Board No. 28 prior to 1999 [2] ) is the administrative body overseeing the operations of the primary and secondary schools in the County of Renfrew in Ontario, Canada. The administrative office is located in Pembroke, Ontario. Whilst Valour school being the biggest out of the county, located in Petawawa Ontario

Amalgamation September 2009

The Airy and Sabine District School Area Board and Murchison and Lyell School Board were amalgamated with the RCDSB on September 1, 2009. [5] The former added Whitney Public School, located in the community of Whitney near the east gate of Algonquin Provincial Park, and the latter Madawaska Public School in Madawaska to the RCDSB. [6]

Student Trustees

There are two non-voting student trustees who are elected by the executive members of the student councils from the seven high schools. They serve two-year terms, with one trustee being replaced each year. The current students fulfilling the role as Student Trustee are Hudson Arbour of Mackenzie Community School K-12 and Sam Abbott of Valour School K-12. [8]

King's Highway 62, commonly referred to as Highway 62, is a provincially maintained highway in the Canadian province of Ontario. The highway travels south–north from Highway 33 at Bloomfield in Prince Edward County, through Belleville, Madoc and Bancroft, to Maynooth, where it ends at a junction with Highway 127. Madawaska Valley District High School (MVDHS) is a public high school situated in the village of Barry's Bay, Ontario. It is managed by Renfrew County District School Board. The school was opened in 1967, and has been operating as the public high school for the area ever since. M.V.D.H.S. is one of few high schools in the area, and as of 2012, is attended by 419 students, offering classes for students in grades 9–12. Some of the faculty are M.V. Graduates. In 2016 The Schools "Sherwood Public School" And "Madawaska Valley District High School" merged Into One Building. MVDHS has now been remanded to MVDS after the merging of the two schools.

The Renfrew County Catholic District School Board is the administrative body that manages the operations of the Catholic primary and secondary schools in the County of Renfrew in Ontario, Canada.
