Robert Scarlett (born 14 January 1979) is a Jamaican former professional footballer who played as a defender or midfielder.
Scarlett was born in Kingston. A small, but speedy, left-sided attacking defender, he played for Harbour View in his native Jamaica before signing for Russian Premier League side Spartak Moscow on a six-month contract, with the option of a three-year extension, in August 2002. [1] After returning to Harbour View following his six-months with Spartak Moscow, Scarlett joined Major League Soccer side Real Salt Lake in July 2005. [2] For Spartak, he only played one league game as a second-half substitute against Saturn Ramenskoe; he also made Spartak's UEFA Champions League roster but did not feature in any of their games.
Scarlett appeared for the 'Reggae Boyz', making his debut in 1999 against Costa Rica and playing his last international so far in 2005 against Australia.

FC Spartak Moscow is a Russian professional football club based in Moscow. Having won 12 Soviet championships and a record 10 Russian championships, it is the country's most successful club. They have also won a record 10 Soviet Cups, 4 Russian Cups and one Russian Super Cup. Spartak have also reached the semi-finals of all three European club competitions.

The 2002 FC Spartak Moscow season was the club's 11th season in the Russian Premier League season. Spartak were defending Premier League Champions, having won the previous six titles, but finished the season in third place. In the Russian Cup, Spartak progressed the quarterfinals of the 2002–03 cup, which will take place in the 2003 season. In Europe, Spartak finished bottom of their UEFA Champions League group where they played Valencia, Basel and Liverpool.
The 2006 FC Spartak Moscow season was the club's 15th season in the Russian Premier League season. Spartak finished the season in 2nd position, qualifying for the 2006–07 UEFA Champions League Third Qualifying Round. In the 2005–06 Russian Cup, Spartak finished as Runners-up to CSKA Moscow whilst progressing to the Last 16 of the 2006–07 Russian Cup which took place during the 2007 season. In the UEFA Champions League, Spartak reached the Group Stage, facing Bayern Munich, Internazionale and Sporting CP, before finishing third and progressing to the 2006–07 UEFA Cup Round of 32 against Celta Vigo.
