Roy Mbaeteka (born February 13, 2000) is a Nigerian-born American football offensive tackle for the Cleveland Browns of the National Football League (NFL).

Career

Mbaeteka was born in Anambra, Nigeria and never played high school or college football. [1]

New York Giants

He was initially signed by the New York Giants on April 8, 2022, from the International Player Pathway Program. [2] [3] [4] [5] [6] [7] [8] He was waived during final roster cuts on August 30, 2022, but re-signed with team's practice squad the following day. [9]

He was cut by the Giants on September 29, 2022. [10] He was re-signed on December 7 but was released on December 14. [11] [12]

Chicago Bears

On May 4, 2023, Mbaeteka was signed by the Chicago Bears via the International Player Pathway Program. [13] He was waived on August 29, 2023 and re-signed to the practice squad. [14] [15] He signed a reserve/future contract on January 8, 2024, but was released on March 15. [16]

Cleveland Browns

On April 29, 2024, Mbaeteka signed with the Cleveland Browns. [17]
