The Rugby Union of Serbia (Serbian : Ragbi Savez Srbije) is the governing body for rugby union in Serbia. It was founded in 1954 and joined Rugby Europe (formerly FIRA-AER) in 1964. [1] It has been a member of World Rugby (formerly the IRB) since 1988. [2] [3]

The Serbian Cultural Club was a short-lived but influential grouping of mainly Belgrade-based Serb intellectuals of the Kingdom of Yugoslavia in the years immediately before the outbreak of World War II. The organization pushed for the advance of Serbian national interest in Yugoslavia, following Croatian autonomy (1939). After the invasion of Yugoslavia in April 1941, the president of the SKK, Slobodan Jovanović went into exile with the government, but several members remained behind in Yugoslavia and developed a Serb-centric ideological framework for the Chetniks of Draža Mihailović.

The Crvena Zvezda–Partizan basketball rivalry, commonly referred as the Eternal derby, is an Adriatic League, Serbian League, and Belgrade-based rivalry between Crvena zvezda and Partizan. These two men's basketball clubs are the biggest and most popular clubs in Serbia. The two clubs both play their home games at Aleksandar Nikolić Hall or Štark Arena in Belgrade. The rivalry started immediately after the creation of the two clubs in 1945 and the two clubs have been dominant in domestic basketball since then. It is present in a number of different sports but the most intense matches are in football sections of both clubs.
