Ryan Lomberg (born December 9, 1994) is a Canadian professional ice hockey left winger currently playing for the Florida Panthers of the National Hockey League (NHL).
A native of Richmond Hill, Ontario, Lomberg began his junior hockey career in the Ontario Junior Hockey League (OJHL), playing bit roles in parts of two seasons with the North York Rangers and the Upper Canada Patriots in 2009–10 and 2010–11. From there, he moved on to play for the Muskegon Lumberjacks of the United States Hockey League (USHL) in the 2011–12 season, emerging as the team's offensive leader with 40 points in 52 games, while adding 154 penalty minutes – enough for fifth in the league. Attending the University of Maine beginning with the 2012–13 school year, Lomberg played for the Maine Black Bears for two seasons, accumulating 18 goals and 14 assists over 66 games with the team. However, following the 2013–14 season, Lomberg left the school after being suspended from the Black Bears due to an assault and disorderly conduct charge, the latter of which he pleaded guilty to. Looking to get his hockey career back on track, Lomberg returned to the USHL for the 2014–15 season with the Youngstown Phantoms. Lomberg scored 24 goals and 43 points in the regular season while playing with future Winnipeg Jets forward Kyle Connor and serving as team captain [3] to help lead the Phantoms to the Anderson Cup.
Lomberg's play with the Phantoms caught the eye of the Calgary Flames' amateur scouting staff, earning him an invite to their annual fall development camp. [4] Lomberg impressed enough to earn a minor-league deal with the Stockton Heat, Calgary's AHL affiliate. The deal was announced in the wake of speculation that Lomberg would join Miami University's men's hockey team on a transfer from the University of Maine. [3]
Lomberg split his first professional season between the Heat and their ECHL affiliate, the Adirondack Thunder. Scoring at nearly a point-per-game pace with the Thunder, Lomberg earned extended time with the Heat throughout the system, going goalless with 3 assists and 42 penalty minutes in 15 AHL games during the 2015–16 AHL season.
Continuing with the Heat in 2016–17, Lomberg emerged as a more multi-dimensional player. In addition to his 127 penalty minutes, Lomberg scored 13 goals and 29 points in 68 games with the team, good for seventh and eighth on the team, respectively.
Impressed with his work ethic and determination, the Calgary Flames rewarded Lomberg with a two-year entry-level contract worth $710,000 per season in the NHL on March 17, 2017. [5] The deal came into effect at the beginning of the 2017–18 NHL season.
Looking to inject some energy into the lineup and forced to deal with the absence of Jaromír Jágr, the Flames recalled Lomberg on January 14, 2018. [6] He made his NHL debut eleven days later, on January 25, against the Edmonton Oilers. During the game, he fought the Oilers' Zack Kassian, and recorded 6:30 of total playing time.
After five seasons within the Flames organization, Lomberg left as a free agent to sign a two-year, $1.45 million contract with the Florida Panthers on October 9, 2020. [7] He played 34 games for the Panthers during the 2020–21 season, recording two goals and two assists in 34 games. On November 26, 2021, the Panthers re-signed Lomberg to a two-year contract extension. [8]

Jaromír Jágr is a Czech professional ice hockey right winger and owner of Rytíři Kladno of the Czech Extraliga (ELH). He previously played in the National Hockey League (NHL) for the Pittsburgh Penguins, Washington Capitals, New York Rangers, Philadelphia Flyers, Dallas Stars, Boston Bruins, New Jersey Devils, Florida Panthers and Calgary Flames, serving as captain of the Penguins and the Rangers, between 1990 and 2008. After leaving the Rangers in 2008, he played three seasons in the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) with Avangard Omsk. He returned to the NHL in 2011 with the Flyers and remained in the league for seven more years before being assigned by the Flames in 2018 to HC Kladno. Having played in 37 professional seasons and over 2,000 professional games, Jágr has had the longest playing career in professional ice hockey history. He is the most productive European player who has ever played in the NHL and is widely regarded as one of the greatest players of all time.
Brian McGrattan is a Canadian former professional ice hockey player and current member of the Calgary Flames player development staff. McGrattan was a fourth-round selection of the Los Angeles Kings at the 1999 NHL Entry Draft but never signed with the team. He signed with the Ottawa Senators organization in 2002 and made his NHL debut with the team three years later. McGrattan has also played in the NHL with the Phoenix Coyotes, Nashville Predators and Calgary Flames. As a career journeyman, he was also a member of five American Hockey League (AHL) teams, and ended his career in 2017 in England as a member of the Nottingham Panthers of the Elite Ice Hockey League (EIHL).
Eric Godard is a Canadian retired professional ice hockey right winger who played in the National Hockey League with the New York Islanders, Calgary Flames and the Pittsburgh Penguins. Godard was known as an enforcer for his physical style of play and regularly dropping the gloves. His nickname is "the Hand of God", a nickname derived from the play on his surname.
Leland Bruce Irving is a Canadian professional ice hockey goaltender, currently an unrestricted free agent. He most recently playing for HC Lugano in the National League (NL). He was a first round selection of the Calgary Flames, 26th overall at the 2006 NHL Entry Draft and played parts of two National Hockey League (NHL) seasons with the team. He made his NHL debut on December 16, 2011, in a shootout loss to the Florida Panthers and won his first NHL game one week later in his second start, against the Vancouver Canucks.

Versteeg is a two-time Stanley Cup champion with the Chicago Blackhawks in 2010 and 2015.

Victor J. Oreskovich is a Canadian former professional ice hockey winger. Selected 55th overall in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft by the Colorado Avalanche, he played for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish of the Central Collegiate Hockey Association (CCHA) and Kitchener Rangers of the major junior Ontario Hockey League (OHL) before deciding to turn professional. After signing a contract with the Avalanche in 2007, he was assigned to the team's American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate, but chose not to report and spent two years away from hockey. In 2009, he signed with the Florida Panthers and spent the subsequent season between the NHL and the team's AHL affiliate, the Rochester Americans. The following off-season, he was traded to the Canucks, joining the team in 2011 on their run to the Stanley Cup Finals, where they lost to the Boston Bruins. In October 2011, he was waived by the Canucks and assigned to the Chicago Wolves, the Canucks' AHL affiliate. Oreskovich retired from hockey in 2012, and returned to university in 2015. He completed a Master of Business Administration degree, and joined the Royal Bank of Canada.

Alexander Petrovic is a Canadian professional ice hockey defenceman who is currently playing for the Texas Stars in the American Hockey League (AHL) while under contract to the Dallas Stars of the National Hockey League (NHL). Petrovic was selected by the Florida Panthers in the second round, 36th overall, of the 2010 NHL Entry Draft from the Red Deer Rebels in the Western Hockey League (WHL).
Chad Billins is an American professional ice hockey defenseman currently under contract with HV71 of the Swedish Hockey League (SHL). An undrafted player, Billins played four seasons of college hockey with the Ferris State Bulldogs that culminated in his serving as co-captain of the team that reached the first Frozen Four appearance in school history in 2012. He turned professional in 2012 with the Grand Rapids Griffins of the American Hockey League (AHL) and was a member of their Calder Cup championship team. Billins made his NHL debut in 2013 as a member of the Calgary Flames.

Corban Knight is a Canadian professional ice hockey forward currently playing for SC Bern of the National League (NL). He was a fifth-round selection, 135th overall, by the Florida Panthers in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft, but was traded to the Calgary Flames after the Panthers were unable to sign him to a contract. Knight played four seasons of college hockey with the University of North Dakota and was a finalist for the Hobey Baker Award in 2012–13.

The Adirondack Flames were a professional ice hockey team in the American Hockey League (AHL). The team was based in Glens Falls, New York, and played at the 4,794 seat Glens Falls Civic Center. They were the top affiliate of the Calgary Flames of the National Hockey League (NHL), and made their debut in the 2014–15 AHL season after relocating from Abbotsford, British Columbia, where the team was known as the Heat. Former Portland Pirates managing owner and CEO Brian Petrovek served as the team's president. For the 2015–16 season, the Adirondack Flames moved to Stockton, California, and became the Stockton Heat.
