Robert M. Shoemaker High School is a public high school located in Killeen, Texas (USA) and classified as a 6A school by the UIL. Formerly the Ellison 9th Grade Center, Robert M. Shoemaker is one of four high schools in the Killeen Independent School District located in western Bell County. 2001 was the inaugural year for the high school, graduating students who primarily transferred from CE Ellison. For the 2021-2022 school year, the school was given a "C" by the Texas Education Agency. [2]

Ellison High School opened in 1978 and the first graduation class was held in 1979. The Ellison High School football program received a donation of $25,000 from the American television channel NBC and automobile maker Toyota, for their participation in the Friday Night Lights Hometown Sweepstakes contest. The former University of Kentucky head basketball coach, Billy Gillispie, was the head coach at Ellison in the early 1990s, leading the school to the 5A state basketball tournament in 1993. For the 2021-2022 school year, the school was given a "B" by the Texas Education Agency.

Brian Norwood is an American football coach. He currently serves as defensive backs coach, assistant head coach, and defensive passing game coordinator at UCLA. Prior to that, he most recently was the co-defensive coordinator and safeties coach with Navy Midshipmen football. Previously, Norwood served as co-defensive coordinator and safeties coach with Bill Snyder at Kansas State Wildcats football and Philip Montgomery at Tulsa Golden Hurricane football. This was after holding the position of assistant head coach to Art Briles at Baylor University. Both Norwood and Briles served as assistants to Mike Leach at Texas Tech in 2000. Norwood was also an assistant to Joe Paterno at Penn State from 2001 to 2007.
