The Shoppes at Knollwood, previously known as Knollwood Mall, is a regional shopping mall located along Minnesota State Highway 7 in St. Louis Park, Minnesota owned by Gateway Knollwood, LLC and managed by Mid-America Real Estate. Major stores at the mall include Kohl's, TJ Maxx, Old Navy, Nordstrom Rack, and DSW Shoe Warehouse. [3]

History

Knollwood Mall opened in 1955 as an open-air strip mall called Knollwood Plaza. [4] It featured a Powers Dry Goods store, Woolworth, JCPenney, and Red Owl Grocery Store. [5] The center was enclosed in 1980 and Montgomery Ward added to the eastern side. [6]

Powers became Donaldson's and then Carson Pirie Scott. In 1994, the Carson's store closed and was torn down for a Kohl's. [7] Montgomery Ward closed its store in the mall in 1998, and one year later, Cub Foods opened in its place. [6] [8]

The eastern wing of the mall was vacated in 1999 for a movie theater multiplex which never opened. Five years later, TJ Maxx relocated from an existing store within the mall to the east wing, opening a combination TJ Maxx/HomeGoods store in its place. [9] JCPenney closed in 2000.

In 2014, plans were announced to remove the remaining portion of enclosed mall between Kohl's and TJ Maxx/HomeGoods. [10] The center added a Nordstrom Rack store and renamed itself the "Shoppes at Knollwood" for its May 2015 grand re-opening. [11]

Wayne Towne Center is a regional shopping center located in Wayne, New Jersey, in the New York City metropolitan area, adjacent to Willowbrook Mall along Willowbrook Boulevard. As of 2008, the mall had a gross leasable area of 653,000 square feet (60,700 m2). The center formerly operated as an indoor shopping mall from the time when JCPenney was built, in the late 1980s, until its de-malling in 2008. The inner portion of the mall, which had one floor has since been demolished.

Shops at CenterPoint is an open air strip mall located in Grand Rapids, Michigan, United States. It opened in 1967 as Eastbrook Mall, a year before the larger Woodland Mall opened across the street. Throughout 2012 and 2013, the center underwent renovation tearing off half of the mall to become an outdoor shopping mall instead called The Shops at Centerpointe.

Westgate Center is a 640,000 sq ft (59,000 m2) regional outlet shopping center located in the West San Jose neighborhood of San Jose, California. The mall is located at the intersection of Saratoga Avenue and Campbell Avenue. The Shoppes at Parma, formerly known as Parmatown Mall, is a shopping plaza located in Parma, Ohio, approximately 10 miles (16 km) south of Cleveland. It is located at the southwest corner of State Route 3 and Ridgewood Drive in southern Cuyahoga County. It is anchored by Walmart, Burlington, Marc's and Dick's Sporting Goods. The plaza opened as a shopping plaza in 1956 and was enclosed in the mid-1960s and has become an outdoor plaza once again. Its original anchors were Higbee's (1967) and May Company (1960). Higbee's became Dillard's in 1992, and closed in 2000. The old Higbee's structure was demolished and replaced with a new Walmart in 2004. Prien Lake Mall is an enclosed, regional shopping mall in Lake Charles, Louisiana which serves 344,268 people. It is located on West Prien Lake Road and is highly visible from Interstate 210. The Mall is named after Prien Lake, which is one of the lakes in the city of Lake Charles. When it opened in 1972 with 35 stores, many retailers from downtown Lake Charles relocated to the mall leading to urban blight in the downtown area. The anchor store on opening was Montgomery Ward. The mall was extended with a new wing opening in 1998, increasing floorspace to 800,000 sq. ft. including a new food court and Sears store, which closed in 2018. In 2001 an Educational Resource Centre was approved for opening in the mall with federal funding from the US Department of Education's Community Technology Centers Program. It provides adult education and English classes. In that same year, Houston-based Foley's came to the mall with a new store built, only to rebrand as Macy's five years later. Macy's only lasted at the mall for a year until it closed in early 2008. By 2009, Kohl's replaced the former Macy's building. The anchor stores are Dillard's, Dick's Sporting Goods, Kohl's, Kirkland's, JCPenney, TJ Maxx, HomeGoods, and Cinemark Theatres. There is 1 vacant anchor store that was once Sears.

Jackson Crossing, formerly Paka Plaza, is one of two enclosed shopping malls serving the city of Jackson, Michigan in the United States. It opened in 1960 and has been renovated in the 2000s. Anchor stores include Target, Kohl's, Best Buy, and TJ Maxx.

Opened on August 4, 1988, it features JCPenney, Kohl's, Macy's, Macy's Home Store, Dick's Sporting Goods, DSW, H&M, Forever 21, Ashley Furniture, and Target. The mall is located along Interstate 5 at its interchange with State Route 539 north of downtown Bellingham.
