TPC Louisiana is an 18-hole golf course in the southern United States, located in Avondale, Louisiana, a suburb southwest of New Orleans.

Contents

Opened eighteen years ago in 2004, it was designed by renowned golf course architect Pete Dye in consultation with tour professionals Steve Elkington and Kelly Gibson. TPC Louisiana has been part of the PGA Tour's Tournament Players Club network since its second season, and hosts the tour's Zurich Classic of New Orleans in the spring. [2]

Tournament Players Club (TPC) is a chain of public and private golf courses operated by the PGA Tour. Most of the courses either are or have been hosts for PGA Tour events, with the remainder having frequently hosted events on the Korn Ferry Tour or PGA Tour Champions. In 2020, Harding Park became the first TPC course to host a major when it hosted the PGA Championship.

The AT&T Byron Nelson is a golf tournament in Texas on the PGA Tour, currently hosted by TPC Craig Ranch in McKinney, northeast of Dallas. Held in May, it is one of two PGA Tour stops in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex – which until the 2020-21 PGA Tour, was the only metropolitan area to host two events on separate courses in the area. The tournament is the leading fundraiser for charity on the PGA Tour and has raised more than $143 million. For much of its history, it was the only PGA Tour stop named after a professional golfer, and remains one of only two such events, along with the Arnold Palmer Invitational. As host, Byron Nelson (1912–2006) commonly made appearances during the tournament. It is hosted by the Salesmanship Club of Dallas, a 600-member civic organization, and has benefited the club's nonprofit Momentous Institute since its inception.

TPC Deere Run is an 18-hole golf course in the central United States, located in Silvis, Illinois, along the Rock River. It is operated by the PGA Tour as a member of their Tournament Players Club network of golf courses and plays host to the annual John Deere Classic, part of the tour's regular season schedule. It is usually held in July, the week preceding The Open.

The Zurich Classic of New Orleans is a professional golf tournament in Louisiana on the PGA Tour, currently held at TPC Louisiana in Avondale, a suburb southwest of New Orleans. Beginning 84 years ago in 1938 and held annually since 1958, it is commonly played in early to mid-spring. Zurich Insurance Group is the main sponsor, and it is organized by the Fore!Kids Foundation.

TPC Potomac at Avenel Farm is a private golf club in the eastern United States, located in Potomac, Maryland, a suburb northwest of Washington, D.C. The Mitsubishi Electric Classic is a golf tournament on the PGA Tour Champions in Georgia in the greater Atlanta area. It debuted nine years ago in 2013 as the "Greater Gwinnett Championship," and has been played each year at TPC Sugarloaf in Duluth, a northeast suburb. A familiar course, TPC Sugarloaf was a venue on the PGA Tour for twelve seasons (1997–2008) for the AT&T Classic.

The Southern (Spring) Open was a golf tournament on the PGA Tour, played only in 1922 at the New Orleans Country Club in New Orleans, Louisiana. Gene Sarazen won the event with a four-round total of 294 (+10), beating Leo Diegel by eight strokes. It was Sarazen's first PGA Tour win.
