Taran Kozun (born August 29, 1994) is a Canadian professional ice hockey goaltender. He is currently playing with the Coventry Blaze in the UK's Elite Ice Hockey League (EIHL).
During the 2014–15 WHL season while playing with the Seattle Thunderbirds, Kozun was awarded the Del Wilson Trophy as the WHL's top goaltender and was named to the WHL Western Conference First All-Star Team. [1]
After three seasons playing with Canadian University hockey with the Saskatchewan Huskies, claiming back-to-back U Sports Goaltender of the Year accolades, Kozun returned to the professional circuit in the ECHL, joining the Kansas City Mavericks on October 28, 2020. [2] After 1 game stints with the Mavericks, Indy Fuel and Rapid City Rush, Kozun was traded by the Rush to join his brother, Tad, at the Orlando Solar Bears on February 10, 2021. [3]
In July 2021, Kozun agreed terms to join the EIHL side Cardiff Devils for the 2021–22 season. [4]
After two seasons with Cardiff, in June 2023 Kozun agreed terms to join Cardiff's league rivals Coventry Blaze for the 2023–24 season. [5]

The Elite Ice Hockey League (EIHL), sometimes referred to as the British Elite League or, for sponsorship reasons, the Viaplay Elite League, is an ice hockey league in the United Kingdom. Formed in 2003 following the demise of the Ice Hockey Superleague, it is the highest level of ice hockey competition in the United Kingdom.
The British National League (BNL) was the second tier of the professional ice hockey league in the United Kingdom between 1996 and 2005. Although no formal promotion and relegation existed during its period of existence, it was considered to have been a standard below that of the Ice Hockey Superleague and above that of the English National Ice Hockey League and the Scottish National League. Fife Flyers and Guildford Flames were the only two teams to consistently feature in the BNL during every season of the league's history.
Paul Thompson is a British ice hockey head coach and general manager. He was head coach of the Great Britain men's national ice hockey team from 2006 to 2011. As of 2018, he is the winningest coach in the Elite Ice Hockey League, and has received nine Coach of the Year trophies in his career. His teams have won three Challenge Cups, two British Knockout Cups, and he is the first coach to win five Elite League titles. In the 2004–2005 season, Thompson completed the British Hockey Grand Slam; winning the Challenge Cup, the EIHL title, and the EIHL playoff championship. He served as the general manager and head coach of the Sheffield Steelers from 2015 to 2018, and previously coached 19 seasons with the Coventry Blaze organisation. He has coached professional teams in Denmark, Germany, Italy and Sweden; and has been the head coach of the Odense Bulldogs since 2021. He is known by the nickname "Thommo".
Nathan Craze is a Welsh former professional ice hockey netminder. He played in the Elite Ice Hockey League for the Cardiff Devils, Belfast Giants and the Edinburgh Capitals. He also played for the Great Britain Under-18 and Under-20 national team as well as one game for the main national team.

The 2017–18 EIHL season was the 15th season of the Elite Ice Hockey League. The regular season commenced on 9 September 2017 and ended on 25 March 2018. The reigning league champions were the Cardiff Devils, who won the championship for the first time in 2016–17. The Devils retained their regular season title, with a 3–2 victory away at the Belfast Giants on 16 March 2018. The Devils also won the playoff title, beating the Sheffield Steelers – who had defeated the Devils 12 months prior in a 6–5 double overtime game – 3–1 in the final, winning a first playoff title since 1998–99.
The 2018–19 EIHL season was the 16th season of the Elite Ice Hockey League. The regular season commenced on 8 September 2018 and ended on 31 March 2019, with the playoffs following in April 2019. The two-time reigning league champions were the Cardiff Devils, who won both the regular season and playoff titles in 2017–18.
