Farell Ted Laurent (born January 1, 1988) is a Canadian football defensive lineman for Hamilton Tiger-Cats of the Canadian Football League (CFL).
Laurent played college football for the Ole Miss Rebels.
Laurent was drafted in the second round in the 2011 CFL supplemental draft, costing the Edmonton Eskimos a second round draft choice in the 2012 CFL Draft. [1] He signed with the team on June 2, 2011. [2] In three seasons with the Eskimos, he played in 48 games where he recorded 65 defensive tackles, 11 sacks, and one force fumble. He became a free agent upon the expiry of his contract on February 11, 2014. [3]
On June 1, 2014, Laurent signed with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats. [3] In his first season with his new team, he had 22 defensive tackles, nine sacks, and one forced fumble. He was awarded the Lew Hayman Trophy in 2014 for being the most outstanding Canadian player in the East Division. [4]
Laurent was born to parents Farell and Yvette Laurent. [5]
John Chick is a former professional Canadian football defensive end who played eight seasons in the Canadian Football League, primarily with the Saskatchewan Roughriders. After signing with Saskatchewan in 2007, he was named the CFL's Most Outstanding Defensive Player after the 2009 CFL season. He would help the team capture the Grey Cup twice, in 2007 and 2013. Chick has also spent time in the National Football League (NFL) with the Indianapolis Colts and Jacksonville Jaguars. Prior to playing professional football, Chick played college football for the Utah State Aggies. During his senior season with the Aggies, Chick recorded 12.5 quarterback sacks, good enough for fifth overall in the National Collegiate Athletic Association. Chick also played for the Hamilton Tiger Cats and Edmonton Eskimos later in his career.

The 2011 Edmonton Eskimos season was the 54th season for the team in the Canadian Football League and their 63rd overall. The Eskimos improved upon their 7–11 record from 2010, after winning their eighth game on October 10, 2011, while also securing a berth in the playoffs in that same game. Willie Hebert Jefferson III is a Canadian football defensive end for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers of the Canadian Football League (CFL). Jefferson is a 3-time Grey Cup champion, winning his first ring at the 103rd Grey Cup with Edmonton in 2015.
