Teleexpress Extra

Teleexpress is the second news program of the TVP, broadcast daily on TVP1 and on TVP Info at 17:00 / 5:00PM. Until June 1992, it was broadcast at 17:15 / 5:15PM.

Contents

It may broadcasts at different hours on TVP1 if the schedule of some sporting events that the channel broadcast interfere with the usual airtime.

On December 20, 2023, for the first time in history, the program was not broadcast. From that day to 3 January 2024 the program was suspended due to 2023 takeover of TVP. [1] Under new editor Danuta Dobrzyńska, they announced that the program would resume on 4 January 2024, and would be broadcast from the Woronicza (also TVP Sport and 19.30) studio. After a break of 7 years, the presenter Maciej Orłoś was back for host that program and the new face Aleksandra Kostrzewska, from channel TVP Info also joined Teleexpress. [2]

Teleexpress Junior was broadcast from September 1, 1998, to June 2000 as a youth news program. Aired daily from Monday to Friday - initially at 2:30 pm, from October 12, 1998, at 3:30 pm, and from September 1999 at 4:15 pm (except Tuesdays - at 4:30 pm).

Teleexpress nocą was the evening edition of the Teleexpress news program broadcast from July 2 to October 31, 2007, between 10:50 pm and 2:00 am on TVP1. The program was broadcast from Monday to Thursday. Teleexpress nocą was more entertaining than informative, which made it even more different from the main issue of Teleexpress, which often supplements the news with funny comments. At the end of each release, a music video for the song "of goodnight" was broadcast. The program was taken off the air due to low viewership. The first edition of Teleexpress nocą, broadcast on July 2, 2007, was hosted by Radosław Brzózka.

Teleexpress Extra has been broadcasting from March 2, 2014, an information program that supplements the main issue of Teleexpress, which is broadcast daily on TVP Info at 17:15.

Teleexpress na deser - a weekend TV program broadcast on TVP Info. The program deals with the issues of cuisine, fashion, music, etc.

In December 2004, the Polish broadcaster Telewizja Polska (TVP) announced that the Polish entry for the 2005 contest in Kyiv, Ukraine would be selected through an internal selection. "Czarna dziewczyna" performed by Ivan and Delfin was announced as the Polish entry on 29 January 2005 during the TVP1 programme Stratosfera.

Klan is a Polish soap opera that premiered on 22 September 1997 on the public TVP1 channel. With more than 4,000 episodes spanning 25 seasons, the show is the longest-running Polish TV series. It airs from Monday to Friday at 5.50 p.m. on TVP1.

Poland participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 1999. The Polish broadcaster Telewizja Polska (TVP) selected country's entry via an internal selection. Mietek Szcześniak was ultimately selected to represent Poland at the 1999 contest in Jerusalem, Israel with the song "Przytul mnie mocno" written by Seweryn Krajewski and Wojciech Ziembicki. Szcześniak and his contest entry were announced on 9 March 1999.

TVP Info is a Polish free-to-air television news channel, run by the public state broadcaster TVP. It is focused on newscasts, mainly broadcasting nationwide news bulletins. Until 20 December 2023, its main offices were located in the Television Information Agency building at Warsaw Insurgents Square; since 29 December 2023 the channel's activities are carried out from the main TVP building on Woronicza Street, Warsaw.

Wiadomości is a Polish daily television news program that was produced by public-service broadcaster Telewizja Polska (TVP) and was broadcast on TVP1 from 18 November 1989 until 19 December 2023. The main edition was broadcast daily at 7:30 p.m. CET. It premiered on 18 November 1989 and replaced the Dziennik Telewizyjny, which was aired during the communist era for over 31 years and was considered to be one of the communist government's mouthpiece.

Dziennik Telewizyjny, commonly simplified to Dziennik, is a Polish daily television news program that was produced and broadcast by Telewizja Polska between 1958 and 1989, during the time Poland was under the communist dictatorship. It was Poland's second regularly televised newscast and the primary propaganda tool used by the Polish United Workers' Party during the Cold War. The final episode aired on 17 November 1989 and the program was replaced by Wiadomości on the following day, 18 November 1989.
