Telenova are an Australian alt-indie trio formed in Melbourne, Victoria in 2020. The band consists of lead vocalist, writer and filmmaker Angeline Armstrong, and multi-instrumentalists and producers Edward Quinn and Joshua Moriarty.
Telenova released their debut single "Bones" on 18 March 2021. Their debut extended play, Tranquilize, was released in 2021, whilst a second, Stained Glass Love, followed in 2022.
Their debut studio album Time is a Flower is scheduled for release in August 2024.

In early 2020, Telenova were formed by Chris Walla, formerly of Death Cab for Cutie, at an APRA AMCOS SongHubs competition, consisting of Australian filmmaker, writer and musician Angeline Armstrong, multi-instrumentalist and producer Edward Quinn (of Slum Sociable), and multi-instrumentalist and producer Joshua Moriarty (of Miami Horror). On 17 March 2021, Telenova's debut single "Bones", was premiered by Declan Byrne on Triple J's Australian music program Home & Hosed. [3] "Bones" was released the following day, [1] as the lead single from their debut extended play. [4] Alongside the release, they announced they had signed with Pointer Recordings, a subsidiary of Remote Control Records. [2] On 19 March, they announced a tour in support of the single, performing two sold out shows at the Colour Club, their debut Sydney show on 24 March at the Lansdowne Hotel, and at the Northcote Social Club on April 8. [5] [6] On 12 April, they were announced as that week's Triple J Unearthed Feature Artist. [4] On 20 April, Telenova were announced as one of 20 recipients of the Music VR Backers Fund, from which A$2,500 goes towards the artists using live virtual reality technologies during live performances. [7] On 7 May, they released the single "Tranquilize", the second single from their debut extended play. [8] On 18 May, Armstrong featured on "60 Seconds With", a segment on Triple J's Australian music program Home & Hosed , in promotion of the single. [9] On 3 June, they announced their debut extended play, Tranquilize. [10] Tranquilize was released on 2 July. [11] On 5 July, they released the single "Blue Valentine". [12] On 30 July, they were announced as part of the 2021 Queensland Music Festival line-up. [13] In March 2023, the group released the single "Lost in the Rush" and announced a regional Australian tour throughout April, May and June 2023. [14]
Telenova's debut studio album Time is a Flower is scheduled for release in August 2024.
Telenova's musical style has been described variously as alternative pop, [15] art pop, [16] blues, [17] electronica, [11] electronic pop, [18] indie folk, [17] indie, [15] pop, [19] R&B, [20] and trip hop. [21]

On 15 November 2020, Daniel Bolt received the Best Music Video award at the Australian Cinematographers Society Awards for directing the music video to Telenova's song "Tranquilize". [37]

Ball Park Music is an Australian five-piece indie rock band from Brisbane consisting of Sam Cromack, Jennifer Boyce, Paul Furness, Dean Hanson and Daniel Hanson. Since forming in 2008, the band has released seven studio albums. Their debut, Happiness and Surrounding Suburbs (2011), was nominated for Australian Album of the Year at the J Awards, and its 2012 follow-up, Museum, debuted at number nine on the ARIA charts. Their third album, Puddinghead (2014), was supported by the certified-platinum lead single "She Only Loves Me When I'm There".
DZ Deathrays are an Australian dance-punk trio from Brisbane, Queensland. Composed of Shane Parsons (vocals/guitar), Lachlan Ewbank and Simon Ridley (drums), they put out two EPs before releasing their debut album, Bloodstreams, in April 2012. The album won the ARIA Award for Best Hard Rock or Heavy Metal Album at the ARIA Music Awards of 2012. Tomas Henry Gaynor, known professionally as Allday, is an Australian rapper, singer and songwriter from Adelaide. Gaynor became active in 2011, when he began uploading his music for free online. Following his works becoming increasingly popular, he moved to Melbourne, to pursue a serious career before later relocating to Los Angeles in February 2017. His works have been influenced by acts such as Silverchair, Frank Ocean, and TLC. Gaynor released his debut album, Startup Cult, in July 2014 to Australian audiences. Startup Cult achieved success and reached number three on the ARIA Charts.
Jessica Alyssa Cerro, who performs as Montaigne, is an Australian art pop musician and Twitch streamer. Montaigne's debut album, Glorious Heights, was released in August 2016 and peaked at No. 4 on the ARIA Albums Chart. At the ARIA Music Awards of 2016 Montaigne won Breakthrough Artist – Release for the album and was nominated for three other categories. In April 2016, Montaigne was a featured vocalist on Hilltop Hoods' track, "1955", which reached No. 2 on the ARIA Singles Chart. Montaigne was supposed to represent Australia in the Eurovision Song Contest 2020 with the song "Don't Break Me", until the contest was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Instead, Montaigne represented Australia in the Eurovision Song Contest 2021 with the song "Technicolour".

Hockey Dad is an Australian surf rock band from Windang, New South Wales. The duo consists of drummer Billy Fleming and vocalist and guitarist Zach Stephenson. Since 2013, they have released one EP– Dreamin' (2014), and three studio albums– most recently, Brain Candy (2020), which peaked at number two on the ARIA Albums Chart. They will release their fourth studio album, Rebuild Repeat, on 14 June 2024.
Tash Sultana is an Australian singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and music producer, described as a "one-person band". Sultana rose to international prominence with their 2016 single "Jungle", which was voted into third place in Triple J's Hottest 100 countdown of 2016. The following year, Sultana had three songs voted into Triple J's Hottest 100 of 2017; "Mystik" placing at number 28, "Murder to the Mind" at number 43, and their Like a Version cover of MGMT's "Electric Feel" at number 78.

Lime Cordiale are an Australian pop rock group formed in 2009. It consists of brothers Oli and Louis Leimbach, with additional members James Jennings, Felix Bornholt and Nicholas Polovineo. They released their debut studio album Permanent Vacation in 2017. The group have performed at Groovin' the Moo and South by Southwest (SXSW). At the 2020 ARIA Music Awards they were nominated in eight categories and won Breakthrough Artist – Release for their second album, 14 Steps to a Better You.

In both 2019 and 2020, she consecutively won Single of the Year, Best Solo Artist and Best Pop Artist at the New Zealand Music Awards. Benee initially gained local prominence with her singles "Glitter" and "Soaked", before her 2019 single "Supalonely" saw international popularity following its success on the video-sharing platforms TikTok and YouTube. Benee subsequently released her debut album, Hey U X, in November 2020.
Toni Watson, known professionally as Tones and I, is an Australian singer, songwriter, and record producer. She is best known for her breakout single "Dance Monkey", which reached number one in over 30 countries including her home country Australia. In 2019-20, "Dance Monkey" completed 24 weeks at number one on the Australian singles chart, beating Bing Crosby's all-time Australian record for his version of "White Christmas", which spent an equivalent of 22 weeks at the top in 1943. "Dance Monkey" was certified 19× platinum by ARIA for shipments of over 1,330,000 units by June 2023.
Spacey Jane are an Australian indie rock band formed in Fremantle in 2016. The group consists of lead vocalist and guitarist Caleb Harper, lead guitarist Ashton Hardman-Le Cornu, drummer Kieran Lama and bassist Peppa Lane, who replaced Amelia Murray in 2019.
Sunlight is the debut studio album by Australian indie rock band Spacey Jane, released on 12 June 2020 through AWAL. It was recorded throughout all of 2019 and produced by Dave Parkin. Sunlight is the band's final release to include contributions from bassist Amelia Murray, who plays on the album alongside her successor Peppa Lane. Described by frontman Caleb Harper as an album "full of apologies", Sunlight lyrically acts as a reflection on his mental health amidst relationship breakdowns, in contrast to its affable melodies and jangling instrumentation.
Great Gable are an Australian indie rock band formed in Bunbury, Western Australia in 2014. The band consists of Alex Whiteman, Matt Preen, Chris Bye, and Madi Hanley (drums). Brandon Richards previously performed as the band's bass guitarist until 2017 and Callum Guy as the drummer until his departure from the band in 2023.
Teenage Joans are an Australian indie rock and punk rock duo from Adelaide, South Australia, who formed in 2018. The duo consists of vocalist and drummer Tahlia Borg and vocalist and guitarist Cahli Blakers.
King Stingray is an Australian rock band from Northeast Arnhem Land in the Northern Territory. With a sound self-described as "Yolŋu surf rock", the band perform songs with lyrics in both English and Yolŋu Matha. King Stingray released their debut single, "Hey Wanhaka", in October 2020, and their self-titled debut album on 5 August 2022.
