The Longwood Lancers men's basketball team is the Division I basketball team that represents Longwood University in Farmville, Virginia. Since 2012, the team has competed in the Big South Conference of the National Collegiate Athletic Association. Their current head coach is Griff Aldrich, a one-time lawyer and chief financial officer of a private equity firm who formerly served as the recruiting director for UMBC.

The Longwood Lancers baseball team represents Longwood University, which is located in Farmville, Virginia. The Lancers are an NCAA Division I college baseball program that competes in the Big South Conference. They began competing in Division I in 2005 and joined the Big South Conference in 2013 after 8 seasons as an independent.

Charles "Buddy" Bolding Stadium is a baseball venue in Farmville, Virginia, United States. It is home to the Longwood Lancers baseball team, a member of the Big South Conference. Opened in 1994, the venue has a capacity of 500. It is named for Buddy Bolding, who was the first head coach of the Lancers' baseball team, who served for 35 seasons from 1978 until his retirement after the 2013 season.

Longwood House is a historic home located at Farmville, Prince Edward County, Virginia, and functions as the home of the president of Longwood University. It is a 2+12-story, three bay, frame dwelling with a gable roof. It features Greek Revival style woodwork and Doric order porch. Longwood House has a central passage, double-pile plan. It has a two-story wing added about 1839, and a second wing added in the 1920s, when the property was purchased by Longwood University. The house is located next to the university golf course, and since 2006, athletic fields used by the Longwood Lancers.

Alpha Beta Psi (ΑΒΨ) is a local sorority belonging to the Commonwealth of Virginia. The organization was founded on October 22, 1978 at Richard Bland College, branching off its secondary school predecessors, Alpha Beta Sigma. Alpha Beta Psi is the first non-Panhellenic sorority to be recognized by Longwood University.

They were led by head coach Jayson Gee, in his fourth season, and played their home games at Willett Hall in Farmville, Virginia as members of the Big South Conference. They finished the season 6–24, 3–15 in Big South play to finish in ninth place. They lost in the first round of the Big South tournament to Charleston Southern.

Patrick Finnegan was a United States Army Brigadier General, and the president of Longwood University. Finnegan served 39 years in the U.S. Army, retiring in 2010 after serving as the 12th Dean of the Academic Board at the U.S. Military Academy. Following his Army career, he was appointed as the 25th President of Longwood University in 2010. Finnegan stepped down as President in 2012 due to health reasons, and returned to private life.

They were led by head coach Jayson Gee, in his fifth season, and played their home games at Willett Hall in Farmville, Virginia as members of the Big South Conference. They finished the season 7–26, 3–15 in Big South play to finish in last place. They defeated High Point in the first round of the Big South tournament to advance to the quarterfinals where they lost to Radford.

The 2018–19 Longwood Lancers men's basketball team represented Longwood University during the 2018–19 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. They were led by head coach Griff Aldrich, in his first season, and played their home games at Willett Hall in Farmville, Virginia as members of the Big South Conference. They finished the season 16–18, 5–11 in Big South play to finish in ninth place. They lost in the first round of the Big South tournament to Hampton. They were invited to the College Basketball Invitational, their first ever Division I postseason tournament, where they defeated Southern Miss in the first round before losing in the quarterfinals to DePaul.
