"Thoia Thoing" is a song by American singer R. Kelly. It was written and produced by Kelly for his 2003 compilation album The R. in R&B Collection, Vol. 1 . The song was released as the album's lead single in July 2003 and peaked at number 13 on the Billboard Hot 100. In the United Kingdom, the song was released on a double A-side with "Step in the Name of Love" and in selected territories with "Snake," both lifted from his previous album Chocolate Factory (2003). Music video

The music video was directed by Little X, who directed most of Kelly's videos at that time. [2] R. Kelly's wife at that time, Andrea Kelly was the choreographer and main background dancer in the video.

Remixes

The official remix features Birdman and Busta Rhymes, and appears on the bonus CD of the DVD album The R. in R&B Video Collection. The remix can also be found on the mixtape The Diplomats 5 featuring Cam'ron.

It also peaked at number nine on the pop charts on December 2, 2003. The original "Step in the Name of Love", which is on the unreleased 2002 album "Loveland" as well as the Chocolate Factory album, described a dance style initially created in Chicago called "stepping". That dance, and the music associated with it, was heavily featured on disc one of his 2004 double album, "Happy People/U Saved Me". The song became an impromptu "anthem" for steppers and the dance. In the UK, the song was a double A-side with "Thoia Thoing".
