Khalif Malik Ibn Shaman Brown, known professionally as Swae Lee, is an American rapper. Known for his wide vocal range and genre-bending, Lee first saw mainstream recognition as one half of the Mississippi-based hip hop duo Rae Sremmurd, which he formed with his brother Slim Jxmmi. They signed with Mike Will Made It's EarDrummer Records, an imprint of Interscope Records in 2013 to release four albums which contained hit singles including "No Flex Zone," "No Type," and "Black Beatles" —the latter topped the Billboard Hot 100. He guest featured on French Montana's 2017 single "Unforgettable," which became his first song to reach the top ten of the Billboard Hot 100 as a soloist and received diamond certification by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). Later that year, he received a Grammy Award nomination for co-writing Beyoncé's single "Formation."

American hip hop duo Rae Sremmurd has released four studio albums, three mixtapes, twenty-two singles, ten as a featured artist, and 29 music videos. Rae Sremmurd signed to EarDrummers Entertainment in 2013 and released their debut studio album, SremmLife, on January 6, 2015. The album charted at number five on the US Billboard 200. It features the triple platinum single "No Type" and also includes the platinum singles "No Flex Zone", "Throw Sum Mo", "This Could Be Us" and "Come Get Her". Rae Sremmurd collaborated with American rapper Ty Dolla Sign and Future on platinum single "Blasé", which peaked at number 66 in the US. In 2016, they released their second studio album, SremmLife 2. The album peaked at number four in the US. It features the number-one single "Black Beatles", which peaked in the top ten of many charts worldwide. SremmLife 2 also includes the platinum hits "Look Alive" and "Swang". In 2018, they released their third studio album, SR3MM, which features the platinum singles "Powerglide" and "Guatemala." In 2023, SR3MM was followed up with their fourth studio album Sremm 4 Life.

Jungle Rules is the second studio album by Moroccan-American rapper French Montana. It was released on July 14, 2017 by Coke Boys, Bad Boy and Epic Records. The album succeeds his mixtape MC4 (2016), which was originally intended to be his second studio album. It features guest appearances from Future, Travis Scott, The Weeknd, Young Thug, Pharrell Williams, Quavo, T.I., Swae Lee, Marc E. Bassy, Chinx and Max B, among others. Production derives from frequent collaborator Harry Fraud, as well as Scott Storch, Detail, London on da Track, Mike Will Made It and others. The album was supported by the singles "No Pressure" featuring Future and "Unforgettable" featuring Swae Lee.
