Viimsi Parish (Estonian : Viimsi vald) is a rural municipality, administratively part of Harju County in northern Estonia. Viimsi Parish is situated on the southern coast of the Gulf of Finland and lies immediately northeast of the Estonian capital city Tallinn.
It covers an area of 72.84 km2 (28.12 sq mi) [2] and has a population of 20 580 (as of 2019). [3] The municipality contains the Viimsi peninsula and several nearby islands in the Baltic Sea, including Naissaar, Prangli, and Aksi.
The mayor of Viimsi Parish is Illar Lemetti.
There are two small boroughs (alevik) and 20 villages (küla) in Viimsi Parish.
Äigrumäe, Idaotsa, Kelnase, Kelvingi, Laiaküla, Leppneeme, Lõunaküla (Storbyn), Lubja, Lääneotsa, Metsakasti, Miiduranna, Muuga, Pringi, Pärnamäe, Püünsi, Randvere, Rohuneeme, Tagaküla (Bakbyn), Tammneeme, Väikeheinamaa (Lillängin).
