Walking Under Stars is the seventh studio album by Australian hip hop group Hilltop Hoods, released on 8 August 2014. [2]

At the J Awards of 2014, the album was nominated for Australian Album of the Year. [3]

Background

Prior to the release of the album, Hilltop Hoods referred to Walking Under Stars as a "companion piece" to previous album Drinking from the Sun , with both albums sharing similar themes, artwork and connected via a five-part narrative, entitled 'The Thirst', commencing with the opening track on Drinking from the Sun, "The Thirst Pt. 1" and concluding with "The Thirst Pt. 5" at the end of Walking Under Stars. [4]

The first single, "Won't Let You Down", premiered on Triple J on 24 June 2014 and was officially released on 27 June. [5] The album was released on 8 August 2014 and debuted at number one on the ARIA Charts, making it Hilltop Hood's fourth consecutive number one album. [6] The album was certified gold (denoting over 35,000 sales) in Australia, shortly after release.

At the ARIA Music Awards of 2014, the album received three nominations and became the group's fifth consecutive release and fourth consecutive studio album to win Best Urban Album.

The Hard Road is the fourth studio album by Australian hip hop group Hilltop Hoods. Released on 1 April 2006 by Obese Records, it debuted at number one on the Australia ARIA Albums Chart, and was the first album by Australian artists to achieve that position. It contains the top 20 single "Clown Prince". It achieved Gold status on 8 April 2006, a week after release, and has now surpassed Platinum status.

Like a Version is a weekly segment on Australian youth radio station Triple J. It involves Australian and international artists playing two songs live in the Triple J studio, one of their own songs and then a cover version, hence the name of the segment. The title is wordplay on the Madonna song "Like a Virgin".

Drinking from the Sun, Walking Under Stars Restrung is a 2016 remix album from Australian hip hop group, Hilltop Hoods that follows their 2014 release Walking Under Stars and their 2012 release Drinking from the Sun. This is the second launch of a "restrung" album after The Hard Road: Restrung in 2007. The 19-track release features a collection of new tracks alongside singles such as "Cosby Sweater" and "I Love It". This is the second time Hilltop Hoods have collaborated with the 32-piece Adelaide Symphony Orchestra and one of many collaborations with arranger/composer Jamie Messager, but is the first collaboration with the 20-piece Adelaide Chamber Singer Choir and conductor Hamish Mackenzie. The song "Higher" is featured in Forza Horizon 3.
