The Waterloo Diamonds was a baseball team located in Waterloo, Iowa that formed in 1989 and lasted until 1993. A member of the Midwest League, they were affiliated with two teams in 1989, the Baltimore Orioles and San Diego Padres, and the franchise was a descendant of the Waterloo Hawks. From 1990 to 1993, they were affiliated solely with the Padres. Their stadium was Riverfront Stadium.

The San Diego Padres are an American professional baseball team based in San Diego. The Padres compete in Major League Baseball (MLB) as a member club of the National League (NL) West division. Founded in 1969, the club has won two NL pennants—in 1984 and 1998, losing in the World Series both years. As of 2022, they have had 16 winning seasons in franchise history. The Padres are one of two Major League Baseball teams in California to originate from the state; the Athletics were originally from Philadelphia, and the Dodgers and Giants are originally from two New York City boroughs—Brooklyn and Manhattan, respectively. As of 2022, the Padres are the only team in California not to have won a World Series.
The Arizona Complex League (ACL) is a rookie-level Minor League Baseball league that operates in and around Phoenix, Arizona, since 1988. Prior to 2021, it was known as the Arizona League (AZL). Along with the Florida Complex League (FCL), it forms the lowest rung on the North American minor-league ladder.
The Burlington Bees are a collegiate summer baseball team of the Prospect League. They are located in Burlington, Iowa, and have played their home games at Community Field since 1947. The Mobile BayBears were a Minor League Baseball team based in Mobile, Alabama, United States. The BayBears played in Hank Aaron Stadium, which opened in 1997 and is named after baseball's former all-time home run king and Mobile native Hank Aaron.

Kino Sports Complex is a multiple-use sports complex in Tucson, Arizona. The Arizona Diamondbacks and Chicago White Sox formerly utilized the complex's main ballpark, Kino Veterans Memorial Stadium, for Cactus League games each March and had their minor league complexes on-site. The ballpark was also home to the Tucson Sidewinders of the Pacific Coast League for the team's last decade in Tucson, running from the stadium's 1998 opening season to the 2008 season. The ballpark was a temporary home (2011–2013) to the Tucson Padres of the Pacific Coast League during the team's relocation to El Paso, Texas. It is also the regular season home of the Pecos League's Tucson Saguaros baseball team since 2016. It seats 11,500 fans, and hosts concerts in addition to its primary function as a baseball park.
The Arizona Complex League Padres are a Rookie-level affiliate of the San Diego Padres, competing in the Arizona Complex League of Minor League Baseball. The team plays its home games at Peoria Sports Complex in Peoria, Arizona, which is also the spring training home of the major-league Padres. The team is composed mainly of players who are in their first year of professional baseball either as draftees or non-drafted free agents.

Palm Springs Stadium is a stadium in Palm Springs, California. It is primarily used for baseball. It used to be named Angels Stadium and was the home field of the Palm Springs Suns of the Western Baseball League in 1995 and 1996. Palm Springs Stadium is the home of the Palm Springs Power, of the collegiate summer Palm Springs Collegiate League. In 2018 and 2019, the stadium is the official home of the Palm Springs Collegiate League and the California Winter League (2010), also shared with Palm Springs High School baseball field. The stadium has a seating capacity of 5,185.
Timothy Earl Flannery is a former Major League Baseball player who spent 11 seasons with the San Diego Padres, from 1979 to 1989. He was the third base coach of the San Francisco Giants from 2007 to 2014. He is the nephew of former Major League Baseball player Hal Smith.
The Reno Silver Sox were a minor league baseball team that existed on and off from 1947 to 1992. The team name is derived from the nickname of Nevada, the "Silver State". There was another baseball team known as the Reno Silver Sox who played in the Golden Baseball League. From part of the 1955 season to 1992, they played their home games at Moana Stadium. The Waterloo Hawks were an American minor-league professional baseball team based in Waterloo, Iowa, that existed on-and-off from 1922 to 1969. From 1922 to 1932, they played in the Mississippi Valley League and in 1932 they were affiliated with the Chicago White Sox. They played in the Western League in 1936 and from 1940 to 1942 in the Illinois-Iowa-Indiana League, where they were again affiliated with the White Sox. From 1958 to 1969 they played in the Midwest League and were affiliated with the Boston Red Sox (1958–1968) and Kansas City Royals (1969).
The Key West Cubs were a Class A minor league baseball affiliate of the Chicago Cubs in 1975. The team played its home games at Wickers Stadium in Key West, Florida. Prior to being named the Cubs, the team was known as the Key West Conchs from 1972-1974, and the year before that, they were called the Key West Sun Caps. However the team was founded in 1969 as the Key West Padres.

The Chicks were named for the Memphis Chickasaws, who were charter members of the Southern Association that played in Memphis from 1901 to 1960.
