The Xavier Newswire (established 1915) is an independent newspaper published weekly during the academic year by the students of Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio. It is an 8- to 12-page newspaper, commonly featuring seven sections: Front, Campus News, U.S. & World News, Opinions and Editorials, Sports, Arts & Entertainment and The Back Page.
The Newswire was originally called "The Xavierian News" and was founded by Xavier's law school in 1915.
The staff meets to put together the paper on Tuesday nights. The Publications House, which previous housed the editing team, was demolished on March 10, 2010, and the staff now meets in the Gallagher Student Center on campus. The Newswire made its color debut on January 23, 2008.

The Zamboni is a student-run humor publication at Tufts University. It was founded in 1989 and comes out with six issues per year, or once per month. It contains satirical articles, cartoons, and photos. It is known as "Tufts University's Only Intentionally Funny Magazine" and its motto is "Cowering Behind the First Amendment Since 1989." The Zamboni is fully funded by the Student Activities Fee as allocated by the Tufts Senate.
The Nevada Sagebrush is the independent student newspaper of the University of Nevada, Reno. It was founded on October 19, 1893, as The Student Record, against the wishes of the Nevada Board of Regents. In 1910, the name was changed to The Sagebrush and then in 2004, to The Nevada Sagebrush.
