Ziggeo is a cloud-based video technology SaaS (software as a service) company that provides asynchronous video APIs, [1] mobile SDKs and tools to deliver enterprise-grade WebRTC capabilities. [2]

Ziggeo is the initiator and backer of BetaJS, an open-source framework. [3] It also launched Video Hack Day. [4] Ziggeo is headquartered in New York City.

History

Ziggeo was founded by Susan Danziger and Oliver Friedmann in 2013. It launched the same year as a recruitment platform, [5] [6] and then pivoted in 2014 to a general video recording API provider [7] [8] that supports a variety of use cases and partners. [9] Ziggeo is backed by Albert Wenger of Union Square Ventures.

Ziggeo's API for Video Recording and Playback won the API: World Award for its Music/Video API in 2016 and 2017. [10] Ziggeo was a finalist for the SaaS Award in HR / Recruitment and was a finalist for the SAAS Award in Non-Profits / Education in 2017. [11]

In August 2022, Ziggeo was acquired by Kargo, an ad-tech firm, for an undisclosed sum. [12]

It allows audio and video communication to work inside web pages by allowing direct peer-to-peer communication, eliminating the need to install plugins or download native apps.

The company's Anypoint Platform of integration products is designed to integrate software as a service (SaaS), on-premises software, legacy systems and other platforms.

BetterCloud, an independent software vendor based in New York, NY and with engineering offices in Atlanta, GA, builds unified SaaS management software. A venture-backed startup, BetterCloud has raised $187 million in total funding, with the most recent round was led by Warburg Pincus with series F funding with $75 million raised to date. A previous round of funding was done in April 2018 which was led by Bain Capital Ventures. In December 2016, BetterCloud completed pivot from G Suite to general SaaS management.
